Rumours of old material being released? Potential new UK tour? Anybody know of Meat's plans for the next 12 months?

Considering what he said about how his back hasn't improved at all, i doubt he will want to tour yet. Need patience and to wait until he heals before that. Here's hoping he heals up fast. He said he is frustrated and depressed from it. Poor bloke
Maybe 2 new songs recorded for a new greatests hits

Hes recording Body for the guest soundtrack of the Bat musical
I seem to remember around the recording of Bat 3 that Meat wasn't allowed to record the new songs by Jim at that time but did anyway. I wonder if they have a vocal of Body from back then that they will use?

Meat said one of the musical producers said he should record it, so I'd guess he would have to record it now. Just a guess though. Meat sounded great on Bat 3 it would be wonderful if he had done even a take or two of it, we can always hope until told what the case is.
You could tell Braver wanted to have BODY on it

Yeah he sure did. I'd be happy with Bat 3 or a current vocal.

YES. Totally

I can't see a current vocal sounding good enough for this song.

I'd say 50/50.

I think that we'll get a final best of and a final album but no more concerts. Meat hasn't got a 50% setting. His performances are all out. If he can't to 100% I don't think that he will do anymore.

A best of is probably a given but I doubt we'll have another album unless there's a bunch of already recorded unreleased stuff hiding somewhere.
Personally I reckon Meat will just pick and choose his acting roles.

I agree about live shows. He puts so much into it and if he is hurting why put himself at risk of more? He asked for copies of some really old stuff so some retrospective set may be possible but those were hardly "hits" in any sense of the word.
I have a wish for the best available live material to be put out in the best condition they can get it in that would be listenable. Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, etc. have a lot of old radio shows on CD but I think they are technically bootlegs. I'd like for Meat to choose the material and get paid for his effort. He would release quality as opposed to somebody out for a quick buck.
I recall Meat said he had some fantastic soundboards he was going to post here but he was worried somebody would copy and sell it. Maybe now he can sell it. That won't stop copying but an official version would be better than a cheap ripped copy.

Thing is, I can't see any album coming out with copies of songs that have been pm'd off internet forums. Maybe they are making a new career retrospective dvd and it will play in the background or something?

I agree. I don't think anything less than a master copy would have much sound quality, especially on such old recordings.
Nothing will be released until after the cast albums released

If they have recorded it, my guess give it 6-9 months.

Not the Braver vocals, but I wonder if Meat's sounding different now? he's sure lost a lot of weight

Good point, has it been nearly 2 years since he actually recorded that? A long vocal rest along with weight loss may have done him some good.

The noises are that it will be out in time to sell for the London shows...

Seems to me there is a mix up here with talking about a "cast album" and one of a "guest album" surely.
I cannot see Meat appearing on a cast album.
Given the decent success of the musical previewing in Manchester, why bother with a guest album at all? The songs already appeared on Bat 1 & 2 etc. What more is there to "guest". How can the songs seriously be improved in a short space of time? Boy George singing Two out of Three? Tom Jones singing For Crying out loud? One Direction singing Bat out of Hell? Seriously?
I don't buy it... at all.

That would be amazing turn-around time. Hope what you hear is correct.

To be honest that is a very realistic turnaround for a live album (if that's what it is - I'm not 100% clear tbh).

It's just been announced that Meat will be starring in a genre show on syfi/netflix called Ghost Wars. I actually heard about this via Jim before Christmas sometime (??? I think ... maybe it was January, I don't remember), and I'm glad that it's finally out there and imminent. Looking forward to catching it.

Hadn't thought about that possibility. I thought I saw some of the cast in a studio in a photo someplace but that could be for something else. There is a killer live sounding version of "Body" on Youtube posted recently.
