I still remember the night (actually 5AM my time - I was an insomniac and Jim was a night owl) when he gave me the virtual tour, showed me his Obsidian Throne (not a euphemism), the jackets he had designed by Asher Levine, and the statues on the alcoves and mantles placed, specifically, throughout the house.
Nostalgic today.
Most of you never got to see Jim's REAL vision for the musical. Here's a tiny fragment of what he wanted it to be.

What a beautiful house. Let’s hope the new owners will appreciate what they have and preserve the legacy.
Just showed my other half and he’s decided he’d like the music at his funeral. Any idea where we can get the instrumental version being used?

It should be a museum, it’s that awesome and special. Wish we all could buy it together to keep the legacy alive. Impossible, I know.
If you watch the details on the pictures by zooming in, you will see several items related to Meat. In his bedroom for example there’s two pictures next to his bed with him and Meat on it.
@thatwriterguy, do you know where Jim was buried or if he’s cremated? I remember Meat saying in an interview not long after Jim died, he was upset because he didn’t know where Jim was.

Top of my head - cremated, very quickly after the fact. Private funeral with his brother in attendance (+ others). Can't recall a resting place, but @let'sGoTooFar would be the person to ask here, I think.
My ties with that side of the camp were cut after Jim's final stroke in 2018.
Fondly remember the times Jim would call, often in the early hours of the morning here in the UK, and we would talk about movies and literature and art and McDonalds until the sun came up.
Seems like another era.

Here's a little more colour of the kinds of things we used to talk about back then.
This one's December, 2014.

He was cremated, and it was indeed rather soon after events transpired. However, I'm as in the dark about where the cremains are as anyone else.

18th May, 2016.
Second page from Jim's draft of BAT OUT OF HELL (the musical).
Couple of amendments from yours truly, but this page is all Jim (ish -- lot of writers took a stab at the script before it reached this stage).
He had such SCOPE in mind for the musical.
Makes we wish that his original vision had been carried out (he was up against a LOT of pressure during the development of the project).

I'll say what I said from the very beginning: between The Dream Engine, Neverland, Bat Out of Hell 2100, and the final product, there is enough material -- both spoken and sung -- for a limited series of the kind popular on streaming platforms, one with a finite beginning, middle, and end that allows for plenty of world-building and everything ever written for it to be used, with no confusion, no compromise, and no clutter. I only wish that Jim's people had had the same kind of vision.
