Cool, it's a one of my favorite Beatles songs...

In the US and UK on my birthday: Get Back by The Beatles

Now all day I will have "JoJo left his home in Tuscon, Arizona/For some California grass" running in my head.

Oddly enough, I was named after the Four Season's song "Sherry", a number one several years before my birth.

Thanks for the site, it was fun.

I have just been looking at mine. Apparently it was not long after John lennon had been killed so Imagine ahd just gone back to number 1 and then woman followed it. If he hadn't been killed and all other factors were the same it would have been Ultravox - Oh Vienna!!!

Dottie, either try and find the old sheet music sales data charts which were used before the charts started

or (and this is the better option)

Chop a few years off the age and pretend!!!

Never heard of either of these. But "The Final Countdown" sounds ominous...no wonder I turned out the way I did.
I now have a mission to find these songs...but I am going to eat this mini roll first...oh sod it, i'll live without hearing them.

OK, I am only 22 but am starting to feel old!!!

Don't you wnat me, Happy Talk, The Final Countdown, Physical etc were all the songs they used to play at our school discos!!!!!

Just remembered, for those who do not know the Human League song, have you seen the really annoying advert at the petrol station where the chap is talking to his lass and says "You were workingas a waitress..." and then she drives off leaving him there saying "Don't you want me baby"??? Well that is the song!!!

I have absolurely no idea what was number one on my birthday but I bet it was something by Vera lynn - probably We'll meet again. Or maybe something a bit more 'modern' by Frank Sinatra. Whatever it was it would be on a 78rpm record, and not even vynil. I should imagine that someone at sometime made a plant pot out of it.
