View Full Version : Please Excuse Me!!
I am from the US and am going to see Meat Loaf in Concert on Sunday. Surprisingly enough he is coming to Kansas (yes Toto is fine)! We are all very excited.
I am sorry for intruding on your board, but if Fireball reads this--please know that you have fans in Kansas that can't wait to see you!!
We would love to meet you, but it seems that will be impossible.
Thanks for coming to our neck of the woods.
Sincerely,
Michelle

You're not intruding at all ... welcome aboard :))
There are a lot of us from the US who post on the board (I'm from Delaware) so you'll fit it just fine.
Have a great time at the show .. we'll want to hear all about it when you get back !!

THE CONCERT WAS GREAT!!! Amazing! It was wonderful! I can't imagine what it must have been like for Meat and the band. I would have been depressed if I were them. You know, Hutchinson Kansas -- the grandstands at the Kansas State Fair. They were half empty. It was sad and surprising to me. I felt really bad for them. They did an amazing show none the less.
No one opened for him. He sang for a little over 2 hours. It was a great show. I was really impressed. I think if I were him, I would have cancelled because it wasn't sold out.
Thanks to Meat for being so professional and thanks for giving us a wonderful time.
The crowd was great for him too. The last part of the concert we were all standing and screaming! I am horse from shouting so much. I have been to lots of concerts but none where the entertainer seemed to put so much of himself into every song. And not just him, but also the band. They were all so great!
I hope in the future that he comes back this way, but I wouldn't blame him if he didn't.
I don't think the radio station that was supporting the concert did a very good job of promotion either. I don't know, I just felt bad for him and the band.
Anyway!! Again!!
IT WAS GREAT!!
Can't wait to see him again sometime!!!
take care!!

We waited around after the show but he never came back out. We were hoping he would come and sign autographs. There was quite a bit of security around an no way anyone was getting back there without being invited!
Anyway!!! We were so impressed and so pleased.
THANKS MEAT!! WE LOVED IT!!!

Ksbat,
Thanks so much for the report on the Kansas fair show. For some reason I think that state fair shows don't do so well on attendence, no matter who the act is. I've seen a number of shows at the Florida state fair (Vince Gill, Confederate Railroad- hey, this is Florida we're talking about so it's mainly country music), and they have always been quite empty. Heck, our fair shows almost seem cursed- last year they added a wrestling match and one of the wrestlers (Mr. Perfect ) died in his hotel room before the match- there's just bad karma around a fair show, I'm afraid! (Though I would never pass up the chance to see ML, anywhere- fair, arena, my back yard- anywhere!)
Sherrie
Thanks for the update Ksbat !!
That's a shame about the audience and the lack of promotion :(... but I'm so glad to hear you had such a great time :))
