View Full Version : Queen Mother Dies
The Queen Mother died this afternoon, aged 101.
I'm sure everyone's thoughts and prayers will be with the Queen and her family right now.
My thoughts can't be with all the people who die every day, exept the ones of my family, my friends etc...
Personaly, and in a philosophical point of view, my thoughts can't be with the royal family because I never knew them, exept from cheap magazines and rumors (well, let's just say the media that controls us all, our thoughts, dreams, imagination, emotions).
What can I say? I wish my grandmother would reach 101... this would shurely be something to treasure.
Did you know the royal family? (I don't expect an answer for this question, just try to think about it, if your mind is not too much media-polluted).
Sure, I see what you're saying, but I also think it's fair to say that she wasn't just the average Grandmother from down the street, she was the mother of our present Queen and was at one point Queen herself. she was a much loved figure throughout the whole of the country and I would imagine that most people recognise my point.

People are overrun by propaganda. It is a tragedy when any one person dies, but when millions die, it's a statistic. It is sad bacause she was an icon, but I've never needed to weep for the royal family. They are far too distanced to mean anything to me (Except perhaps Diana R.I.P).
