Hey guys, please forgive me, but I don't know what these mean. I was wondering if one could help me. Thanks

From Bat Out Of Hell, "If I gotta be damned, you know i'd rather be damned with you...."

what is damned? I am an english speaker, but don't know definitions to some words.

also, i notice a lot of people use, IMO. what does that mean?? Thanks guys in advance.

(also, looked this up, but can't find propper meaning. does anyone know what amnesty is? from the song AMNESTY is granted. hey thanks. :D

I speak English, but natively... so I'm quite suprised youi don't know what damned means... but anywayz: I found the following website quite handy http://dictionary.reference.com/

What they came up with (amongst others in similar vein):

1. Sentenced to punishment in a future state; condemned; consigned to perdition.

Doomed so to speak.

IMO = In My Opinion

AMNESTY = Means that people in authority will not punish you for a crime that you have committed.

No, Amnesty means the authorities will lift the sentence they have given you. You must have been punished, before you can get amnesty. A pardon, if you will...

would, imo, boil down to

"Things happened between us
No one can change that
Please baby, let's try again
'Cause right now
All is forgiven"
