I know this may be the wrong place to talk about this, but I recently got a live performance of I'd Lie For You from Kazaa and I must say that it's the best version of the song that I've ever heard.
Does anyone else know the one I'm talking about, it has a logo that says "rtl 4" in the top left hand corner.
Hi, I recognise RTL4 it can be tuned into from SKY, I think its German am I correct?

I'm not too sure about that one. I tried to capture a screen shot but it was just black when I pasted the image.

Dutch channel indeed... It was part of a 'Meat Loaf special' (we do get those every once in a decade), which I (unforunatly) haven't taped...
The songs were rather predictable (Anything For Love, Took The Words, Lie For You, Bat, Dead Ringer and Paradise, if I'm correct) and overall it was a good hour of fun...
But personally I like the live version from the "Not A Dry Eye" single better

On Kazaa there are some songs what is not by Meat Loaf! There is King Herodes Song by Axl Rose & Meat Loaf. There isn't Meat Loaf. Or I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight what is by Cutting Crew. Or Time Warp from RHPC by Meat but it's not that too.
A question! Where can I find the promo video of I'd Lie For You cause I lost from my computer. And I didn't find on Kazaaa and WinMX again! And it isn't on VHS or DVD. Anybody has got and anybody has got ICQ-address?

I have the promo VHS of it, if i can figure out a way to digitalize it without making the quality too bad, I can get it to you....
If you are talking about the live music video of it, and there is a great solo in the middle, then YES I know. and YES it is the best performance ever of this great song. I wish it were on CD somewhere.

It is one thing for them to be on Kazza, but when they are posted on Meat Loaf websites as actual Meat Loaf songs is when it gets bad.
*wink*
ROCK ON FIRE BALL!!!
If you have Kazaa, Gimme a time to go on, and I'll let you get the LIVE video off of me. But I'm sorry, I won't share my actual song, I'd Lie For You & That's The Truth. I bought the record (CD) and I won't share any songs from, 1) because, they're not on my computer and, 2) it's wrong to share any Meat Loaf, Steinman related stuff, that I own. But I would love to share you my rare live music video to you. :D

'scuze me for butting in... but this makes no sense to me. So you say it's wrong to share Meat related stuff, but live stuff is okay?
And besides - that video ain't that rare. It's more commonly available than the original video...
I'll be gone now :)
Well, figuring this is a live music video, that wasn't in any meat dvd's or any live shows videos, that meat would have gotten paid for us to see on DVD.
What I'm trying to say is, if this was on DVD, or video, i wouldn't share it, nor download it, I'd get the original. SInce this was just a concert piece that wasn't on DVD, I figure I can share it, because, no one would probably ever see it again if i didn't. I hope that clears things.
PS, I would never share a Meat Loaf song. (or steinman related)

It's a live recording. It's from a dutch channel. I don't know where it is recorded.

Sorry to inteject, hows about any other artist/composers work? Would you share them?
As for sharing music, I don't do it myself, but that's a practical issue more than a moral one. But, if you download one song, that is on a CD, DVD whatever. The artist would get very little from the one actual sale of that singles. Meat'd be losing out on very little, as would Steinman. Besides, sorry to seem really really socialist, he does have enough money as it is. . .$0.02
Sorry, return to the converstion people.[/b]
This is what I share
Certain music videos (vids that came off TV, and not sold NEwhere else)
stuff that were made to be shared (freeware programs, song DEMOS)
And if you go on kazaa, and you get a song, that plays good for 10 seconds, and then gets all distorted and gives you a headache if you play loud. ya, those files, to teach most people a lesson, that they shouldn't be sharing.
hope that sums things up.
Oh, and I share my pictures, cats, and guitars. ya, my life.
pretty much, lol

Again, this makes no sense to me. To teach people not to share - you share stuff. Seems very strange to me...
Oh, and it does not matter if a song is a demo or not, or if a video was recorded from tv - you still must have the copyright-holders consent if you want to share it legally.
Freeware (software that is made available for free and gives you the right to distribute it free-of-charge and in unmodiffied form) is another story...

I taped that show on video, You see some times the tekst "Hardrock Cafe" on the walls of the place where it is. I don't know what that is, maybe it's a kind of show or the name of the location. But maybe you can use this information.
Those files that play only 10 seconds songs aren't the actual songs, just the first 10 seconds. And then it gets really loud and sounds like machines. So yes, I share those, because I want to support Meat in getting people to buy his music and not share it.
OH and I would certainly not charge anyone for these free things. Come to think about it, I will now stop sharing any demos whether is by Bon Jovi or anything. Thanks for pointing that copyright information out. I so didn't know that.
