I almost forgot to mention this, but anyway:
I've seen a 'new' version of TVBOML in the stores (well, 1 in The Netherlands). This version seems to come in a cardboard slipcase, and the tracklisting is different: all 18 songs are present, only the order is different. CD 1 starts of with Bat Out Of Hell, and CD2 closes with Nocturnal Pleasure - and all tracks inbetween that are mingled up.
Can't find any website with additional information - but it's out there for the people who have to have every version of everything ever released...

Shoot! I forgot to mention this! Several weeks ago at college, I was theading the "Music Week" magazine, and there was a listing of albums being released on the 10/11 - and The Very Best Of was one of them.
After a quick look on Amazon, I found this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000SZ6UQ/qid=1067367353/sr=1-16/ref=sr_1_2_16/026-2335582-9318049
Sorry, I was meant to tell everyone!

I have been hunting everywhere for a copy of the original Very Best of .... I bought it when it first came out, and then someone 'pinched' it on me and I've never been able to find a copy anywhere else .... I have looked everywhere in Liverpool and in Wigan and I cannot find it anywhere - anyone know anywhere?!!? But if there is a new version of the VBOML then I'll probably just get that if it appears up in this neck of the woods!!

Hi! I have a strange question about this. Anybody have thoughts on why the album would be re-released, but the songs would be in a different order, with nothing new added??
Is this, perhaps, a different label or company releasing it this time around? I'm just trying to understand the changes that were made.
TVBOML was released in most countries before, wasn't it? So, it's not like the Storytellers which is just being released for the first time in parts of Europe...?
Just curious. It seems odd, doesn't it? :??:

Perhaps this is actually the original version before Meat changed the track order. Home By Now was meant to be at the end, but when delays meant Boyzone got to release it first, Meat is said to have gone ballistic and moved it to first on the album!

Yes, but in that case HBN/NMW should have been the absolute last track. It isn't. They separated Nocturnal Pleasures (which is the last track) from Dead Ringer. I don't understand why someone would do that, cause now Nocturnal Pleasures completely loses its point.
