Have your picture on an exclusive Meat Loaf poster [Archive]

Apparently a poster is being produced in conjunction with the release of Man of Steel as a single. I'm not sure if this poster is to be used to promote the single or is a freebie with the single.

Anyway, the poster is to include pictures of ML fans. The first 1000 fans to e-mail their picture to meatloaf@production-response.co.uk will have their pictures used in a montage of Meat's face !!

The picture needs to be a jpeg scanned flash photo not exceeding 5mb in size and has to be sent before 7 November.

That's all the info I have at the moment. The details were given to me by a reliable source. It's actually a clever marketing ploy. That's 1000 singles sold right away.

I've checked the e-mail addy and it exists.

There's an attaching website www.production-response.co.uk which belongs to the Fusion Group who are apparently the UK's largest premedia group and provide marketing and advertising services to a wide range of clients.

If it's genuine I dare say we'll hear more about the project from other sources.

In any case there's nothing to lose in sending a photo methinks if there's a possibility it'll appear on an ML poster. :D

This is a real promotion. Someone at work brought me a leaflet today with all the info on. The other side had a n ad for the Storytellers DVD.

I'm sure this spawned from Mercury somehow. I was just thinking....there's 1,000 copies of MOS sold already!! More I think of it, this is a great tool for selling the cd. The 1000 people who are featured on the poster will buy it, and with it released during Meats UK leg of the tour, this song could sell a lot of copies!!!!

Sounds great to have your photo on one of Meats cd covers and not only will the 1000 people buy it for themselves but will also buy extra for family and friends as well :D

I got the leaflet too. Don't know who sent it but it is riddled with spelling mistakes. Assume my details were sent onto his management company thru buying tickets, as I usually give my parents address.

DVD sounds great, another rare live performance on DVD!!

Just sent mine in too :) It was the one of me with Meat .... I hope they can use it because it's the only picture of me that I really like :roll:

Now I have another excuse to buy the single .... and I hope you're right about the song for the B side Sherrie !!

Hey, guys! You know how we were talking about what a good idea this is for MOS and how it's now guaranteed to sell at least 1000 singles--the people whose faces are going to be on those posters??

Well, I think it gets better than that. None of us who have sent pictures in are going to know if our photos have been accepted or not!! So, it's not just the 1000 singles that are guaranteed, but EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO SENT IN A PHOTO is going to want to buy it to see if their pic made it in!! :bunny:

Pretty smart promotion, isn't it?!!! :up:

This is a genuine promotion . Despite Royal Mail strike Sheffield Arena managed to send us a handbill today Mercury Record's logo appears on bottom, the rules are confirmed as stated above:

Max. 5MB
First 1000 photos to be chosen
Closing date 7 November
Sending photo gives permission for it to be used

Poster for Man of Steel will be 1000 photos making up Meat's face

I sent my photo too :) , but haven't heard anything back and I very much doubt anyone of us will hear something back either, guess it is just an excellent marketing thing to get people to buy the single .... I'll be buying it anyway, but just thought I'd let you know that I'm a sucker too and I've sent my photo in as well!!! :lol:

It's not listed there yet but hopefully it will be nearer the release date.

:lol: Hey Dottie I don't know how you can say you had to find the right photo that makes you look ok. If your photo is anthing to go by when you post i think you look good and from reading your posts on here you sound like a pretty cool dude :lol:
