Oooooh! - im soooo happy and excited to be on the meet and greet list for Glasgow!! *as Ewan collapses into a heap on the floor!*

The only thing that worries me is that since the Glasgow venue is unreserved standing, will going backstage mean that we wont have the opportunity to get to the front for the concert? Like most fans, im more than happy to start queuing several hours before the doors open if it means getting right up front!

Maybe someone knows what usually happens?
Take care and thank you :)

In Holland in the HMH it went this way:

You enter the hall at the backside. You're name was called and then you could go in. Then we had to wait for Meat Loaf. The he is coming, he is talking much, very much. Then he gives autographes and you are able to take pictures.

Then it was over, we walked to the entrance and were in front of the line. We were searched when the hall opened and then you are albe to go inside!

Maybe in other countries and halls, stadiums it is different.

The Meet & Greets will happen before the show.
This means you are inside the venue before the rest of the audience enters.

I have the same worry as Ewan based on my experience at the 1999 Glasgow M&G.

The M&G certainly took place before the show but not before the doors opened. As a result, when the M&G finished the unreserved standing area at the front was jam packed.

My friend + I had to try to push our way to the front much to the annoyance of those people we were pushing past. Not a good experience.

i too was wondering but not about the standing, but about cameras.
as i know that some concerts don't let cameras in, so how do
we get a photograph if this is the case, do we leave the camera with security till after the show?
can someone tell me how this works as i wouldnt want to be breaking
any rules or anything.

Well, in that second you receive an email from us.
Ok, seriously - we need to give non-internet members a chance to signup.

Then again, I think you're in a quite safe position.

Hi Ewan. I look forward to seeing you there too.

I guess we'll just need to wait and see what happens but it will be a bit of a bummer if we end up standing at the back because the doors open before the end of our M&G. :(

i went to the meatloaf concet in cleveland ohio and had the chance to go backstage fora meet and greet. they said you were not aloud to bring in camera but yet during the show they were selling disposable ones. at the end of the show we went backstage and met the band but meat never showed up. i still haven't gotten a reason on why. but to meet the band was great, but waiting over 20 years to see meat and not getting the chance was really upsetting. ihope everyone else gets to meet him

While I understand you were disappointed at not seeing Meat I want to make a clarification here. We too were fortunate enough to get backstage passes at that concert. They were NOT passes for a Meat & Greet w/ Meat Loaf before the concert, there is a difference.

Meeting and talking w/ the band was fantastic, they are great folks. To see Meat would have been nice, but it was not to be. He had just done something like 4 concerts in 5 days, I think he deserved a rest. Heard him shortly afterwards in Detroit, he was not fully recovered from his vocal problems so I understand why he didn't appear backstage after the Cleveland concert.

Just my take on things,
T

C'mon guys. If we're lucky enough to get a M&G I'll be quite happy to stand at the back.

Your're gonna get to meet Meat close up. What more do you want.
Plus you can always push to the front :P
