As a rather amusing article from a Meat Loaf fans perspective...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/3280429.stm

... This talks about how albums should have less tracks on them and not pad them full of garbage. I doubt very much this applies to Meat Loaf... as he probably couldn't fit more than 11 tracks on an album... though he tried with CHSIB :) hehe.

The quality of Meat Loaf's albums are second to none. Simply because thats Meat Loafs area from what I can tell. Meat Loaf writes to have each album as the best album ever, others write to produce the best single ever.....

... I'm sorry, but I know which I prefer!!
Long live Bat! The 7 Track Wonder!

Enjoy!
Get well soon Meat!

I like Meat's songs, especially long! I hate it those radio edits.

As long as the song has cool sound, then it should be as long as the ground to the sky. You can even have a 2CD album. I was hoping Bat III might be like that. Back Into Hell, is a good example of 11 songs all compact onto 1 CD. AHH!! Magnificent! Extraordinary!

I agree with the article, but it is not necessarily applicable when Meat is doing non-Jim albums, because each writer is probably writing very few songs for it. James Michael was only involved with three, wasn't he? But of course, any number of songs which someone suggests, will be debatable. There isn't any way to determine an optimum number.

Bat 1, which many would put in the same category as Born To Run (which the article mentions) as being one of the greatest classic albums, only has seven songs.

The article mentions 10 which I think is a good number.

I agree. I dpn´t want to by albu, which contains more than 10 traks. If I listen to music I want to listen whole CD not only a half of it.
