Meat had intended to record wto songs this afternoon in Glasgow that would be shown on Children in Need tonight.

How about anyone who is making a donation tonight saying when they phone in that they are doing this as a Meat LOaf fan who knows he will disappointed that because he is ill he was not able to record the songs, and that we're all hoping he'll be well again soon. They do show mesages running across the bottom of the screen .. let ours be Get Well Soon Meat Loaf!

And if enough of us do this perhaps they'll send a get well message over the air during the programme as well?

The donate telephone number is:

Yes .. well I thought it was .. but phoning tonight I spoke to a most unhelpful person who said all messages had been decided days ago, and even when I said I'd give them £300 if they said Get Well Meat Loaf .. was told "we don't do that" .. so stuff them!

Always in the past they have donethings they say are because someone offered them a donation if they said this or that .. very disappointing

However .. there is an on-line Children in Need chat tonight at 8pm .. and you can submit a question on:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/communicate/communities/1068646731AskChildrelive.shtml

So perhaps we could all submit a request that they say Get Well Meat Loaf to the man who would have supported them tonight had he not been in hospital, and that we'll make a donation if they'll say this tonight

My first thought .. but I've submitted a request via the chatroom page .. and if enough of us do perhaps we'll succeed .. then I will give them a donation :)

The messages across the screen are pre-set because they are different for every TV area!! That way they show local groups!

AWESOME!!!

Meat or no Meat, it is always a good thing to lend financial support whenever you can if the charity is on the up and up.

ROCK ON GOOD DEEDS!!!

Oooh! Calendar :!: :!: :!: Where :??: :!:
You know what I would have loved to see if Meat had been on CIN? Him punching Ronan Keating in the face :D :!:  After the whole No Matter What scenario I've always wanted to see that! He could have just said it was for charity! No one would want to argue with him, either!

Did anyone else catch the "condensed shakepeare company's" sketch on children in need. It had obviously been wriiten before Meat had to cancel. It appears that he was going to offer a lunch date in L.A. with him to someone bidding in that hour he was going to be on. The phones would have been bouncing!!!!!

Never mind - there's always next year!!! :?

Love
