Does anybody notice that there is SOOOO much live meat loaf CDs (bootlegs, rares and officials). I have been collecting live stuff for a while now because Meat is at his best live. I have the following
- Live at Wembley 1982 (same as video "Meat Loaf Live")
- Live at Bottom Line 1978 , and 1985
- Bad Attitude Live: Odeon Hammersmith show 1985
- Live at the Cleveland Music Hall 1978
- Nassau Coliseum 1978
- Live in Vienna 1988
- Live in Birmingham 1989
- Live at Rockpalast 1981
- Live in London 1977
- Live at Wembley 1987
- Live around World
- Storytellers
Does anyone notice that Meat was very hoarse on the Nassau CD, was this the beginning of his lost voice?
What do you have ? what is the best Meat show?
So, that is a lot of live meat. :D Man, that's great. But how do you get all those things. By Ebay? or something like that. (i don't like ebay, but if that's the way to get live stuff, i like it).
Are there any other shops or something like that, were you can buy bootlegs and other live stuff?
I've got some bootlegs, but there burned and illigal. Only (legal) live Cd's i've got are Live around the world, Storytellers, Meat loaf Live at wembley. And that's not much. I think. I just want to have some real (or legal) bootlegs, but it's hard to get.
Does anyone know where I can get Meat doing the song for the Paraolympics, I haven't heard it and the sites I've so far found are all dead links.
I've the same problem Tim.
The bootleg CD's I have are also burned.
I think that the problem is that we live in the Netherlands. There are no bootlegs here in The Netherlands, and it's a shame that they didn't made a live CD of Meat Loaf live in Ahoy, Rotterdam.
Even on original CD's, Live around the World and Storytellers, you have to wait months to get it her in The Netherlands. And you can't buy the storytellers DVD here in The Netherlands.
I know what you mean, michel. I do know that there is somewhere in Utrecht a bootleg store... but so far, i haven't found it.
The only way to get those bootlegs is through ebay or another buy site. And that's no way i want to do business.
The storytellers CD i found in Amsterdam (store calt Fame) and there they had it. (I thought it was a Cd with talk about the songs, how they were made or something like that. But this is also great.)
And about the DVD's. I know a store were they sell a lot of dvd's, and i've seen storrytellers there a while ago. But i've orderd in that store two Meat Loaf video's Live at Wembley and Storytellers, and i'm already waiting for more than a year. It is very stupid that it is so hard to get those things over here.
And a CD of Meat Loaf in Ahoy, well that would sound great, because we dutch are the best audience a musician can have :D (except for the strange football yelling)
Maybe the MLUKFC can help us dutch folks to get some bootlegs or something like that :D

Actually you guys,
Most of my Live stuff is burned as well. Mainly because the stuff I have was never released on cd and had to be burned from a VHS video and ran threw software called "Wave Lab". This makes a burnt CD identical quality to the original, I do have artwork to all my burned CDS.
My friend Christoph Hechler has a big selection of rare Meat Loaf bootlegs which he makes trades with.
I don't suppose anyone knows where I can find a website with live Meat songs???

Hi Lizard
On pg. 3 of the General Messages for this forum, there is a link in the message "Ickle Site I Made", it is great Meat Loaf site with bootlegs listings and full zip files of lots of live songs from the Cleveland show, and several others.

You could go to site: www.kazaa.com
After you can dowload the KaZaa Media Desktop!
Yes, after you are going to get lot of music from everybody. I'm always there. You can download Heroes and a lot of live songs from Meat Loaf by myself.

Man your right about KaZaa, that is such a great tool. I found good quality
"Thrashin", "Take A Number" and the '74 "More Than You Deserve". However I cannot find any good live versions (with the exception of '78 "Johnny B Good".
Kazaa is realy great. I've got some great video clips from Kazaa, and also some great songs, that i've never heard before, song by Meat Loaf.
But the songs Trashin' and Take a number, well i don't know them. Are they song by Meat Loaf?
Are they from a movie or so, and from what cd are they?

The song Meat did for the summer parolympics was with Brian May and it was called"A time for heroes"
I managed to get a copy from a company called ESPRIT.
www.eil.com......but it was expensive!!!!!
See you all at Hyde Park.
One thing i've been trying to get a hold of for ages is the speech Meat made at the cancer study before performing I'd Lie For You (And That's The Truth)- anyone know where it's available or where i can get a text copy?
Tim,
Thrashin' is the theme song to the 80s movie of the same name, which Meat sung. I haven't seen this movie.
Take A Number was (anyone correct me if I'm wrong), a song written by Paul Jacobs and Sarah Durkee that was either a b-side, or a song that didn't make it onto Bad Attitude.
Thanks you all, for the help with that 2 songs. I've never heard of them before, until now........ I learned something about Meat Loaf, that i didn't new!!
LOL :D

Unless you got some interesting stuff to trade for. That's a huge difference between NO trading at all.....
But Hawkmoon. I asked you in a mail, but you didn't reply.
In what stuff are you interested.
Maybe I or Tim know people who have the stuff you're interested in.
So we can set up a Trade.
