If you're going to say that about Steinman then u can say the same about Meat, if no one thinks Steinmans done any good work since Bat II because they didn't become classics that everyone knows then Meat Loaf hasn't either, Anything was his last number 1. If Steinman is going to face criticism because his music did not become a domestic pillar of modern culture like Steps or West Life then Meat Loaf should face the same criticism because he hasn't either.
To be perfectly honest with everyone it doesn't bother me whether Steinman gets a no1 musical or not the fact is I like his music, I'm even more of a Meat Loaf fan then I am a Steinman fan and the only reason it bothers me when Meat does not get to number 1 is because I like the surprise of listening to the radio and a Meat Loaf song coming on, which would mean if he had a number 1 that it would happen more often.
I know Meat Loaf deserves to be No1 because his music is excellent, in my opinion better than anyone elses but I know that the charts are in the hands of teenage girls interested only hearing manufactured rubbish getting to number because they like the image of the singer. When Meat releases songs they're songs I can relate to and they're very passonate and intimate, Meat and Steinman's are meant to be albums not singles anyway and much prefer that they continue to do albums then singles but if they do release singles from the albums then it's an added bonus anyway.
