What's going on? Did anybody see it? Does anyone have information?
Meat Loaf said on stage in Belfast on Sunday 7th December that "they have a press conference planned for 9th January and another one in Europe later”. I don't remember hearing that that date has changed (although it may have done as they are now playing a concert in UK two days earlier than they were back then).
Hopefully when the press conference goes ahead, enough publicity will be generated so that we hear all about it.

Has anybody heard any more about this ? Is it still on for today ?
Vicki
I'd guess that if Jims involved then it won't happen until late in the day US time....so those of us in the UK will have to wait until tomorrow for any news!
By his own admission Jimmy doesn't do daylight very well :D

Thanks
Vicki
So, nothing happened :x  ??
Think so Bart, it is now 11 january and nothing still here on the forum. Looks like another fake thing he.... :?
Thinking about it, if it was really going to happen, then I would imagine with Meat having rescheduled concerts starting 2 days after the scheduled press conference, then it would have more than likely been cancelled or postponed. It is highly likely that he was over in the UK by Friday I'd have thought, to give him chance to recover from the flight and jet lag and so on before he starts the shows up.
If it's gonna happen, then it'll happen sometime I'm sure.

Yes I agree Andy.
And didn't someone say they were going to have 2 press conferences -- 1 on the 9th and one sometime later in the month :??: Maybe they'll just do one while Meat's doing the shows in the UK. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens :)

..orrrr...EVERYTHING's been pushed back a bit as.. i don't know if it was after Meat's announcement or not... but it's been announced that Jimmy has joined forces with Tim Burton to work on ... BATMAN: THE MUSICAL...that seems to be pushing for a 2004 Broadway opening...

Priorities, people! (Referring to Jim here) Oy, what musical could possibly be more important than creating rock history? Get back on track!
