Mostly I read on this site what is the best song or best duet of Meat. Often I also read about lirics etc.

But what interests me is what you find of the covers that been made on Meat songs.

F.E Boyzone have done a cover on No matter. I really didn't liked it at all. Are there people who agree of do you totaly disagree????

If they make a cover of a song of Meat or a song written by Jim. They always cut it. No Matter What of Boyzone is not a nice version of the song.

I think Celine Dion did a great performance of It's All Coming Back To Me Now. But Pandora's Box version is better.

The problem is always that they cut the songs. Not only on covers, but also on Meat songs, so that the aren't the songs Jim meant it to be.

Julian Austin (famous canadian artist) covered Two Out Of Three, and it wasn't bad. It had the right rhythm, right key, not as good of voice as Meats. But 2 out of 3 aint bad !

To be fair, Boyzone and Meat Loaf's versions of No Matter What are both cover versions. The song was in the Jim Steinman/Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Whistle Down The Wind.

Also, for the record, Boyzone recorded the song first, so actually Meat Loaf's version would be the actual cover.

What i asked myself now, is that Meat Loaf coverd actually a few songs, that are first song by other woman on pandora's box?
Like Out of the frying pan and those others? I mean, they are written by Steinman, but first song by those woman.

And that Boyzone song sucks. But Celine Dion song wasn't that bad.

I don't agree with you Tim. It are covers because Meats versions were recorded later, but officially Bad For Good was an album for Meat, but Meat lost his voice. Jim started to work on Pandora's Box because Arista Records would not make a Bat II. So both albums with songs meat later recorded were meant for Meat. And I thought the Goff sister were performing Original sin in 1988 on meat's show as an intro of a live version of Bad For Good.

The songs of meat are covers, but when it goes another way, they aren't covers.
