I have never seen Rocky Horror Picture Show and I don't know who is Hot Patootie? What does it mean? Sorry, my ignorantly...
You must see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Not cause Meat Loaf is in it, but it's anyway a great, great movie. Never have i ever seen something like that. It's super!!!!
Hot Patootie is a song that is performed in that movie, by Eddie. Played by Meat Loaf.
And i think if you have other questions about this movie, you must ask Timewarp. He's (i think) an expert on this subject.

gosh... me an expert?
Ok I am a board member of the dutch Rocky Horror, but there are better experts than little old me.
I must agree that everybody must see The Rocky Horror Picture Show once in his/her life.
It's hard to discribe why, but is a great movie. A friend of my once discribed it as follows: We see the most terrible movie ever made a couple of times a year and everytime we laugh our guts out.
Hot Patootie is a exclamation like:
goodnes gracious me, or for crying out loud. (maybe the english speaking under us have got an better explanation for it, hee english is only my second language)
Litterly it means hot patato.

THe rocky horror show rules!! more than anything has ruled before and more than anything will ever rule again!!!!!!
(i'm kind of a fan)
except perhaps meat of course.
but that goes without saying....
Timewarp..thank you for the mention of my site!
I am also on cast with a local Rocky Horror shadowcast, as well as an occasional contribuitor to Crazed Imaginations.
Sweet Transvestite and the floor show are the best songs from Rocky Horror I think- and what we need is a duet with Tim Curry and Meat Loaf

Greetz Timie

I heard a rumour somewhere that Tim Curry wanted people to forget about him playing Frankie- is this true? And what about Meat? Does he still favour the role of Eddie?? I'm sure I was reading somewhere that they wanted people to forget that they were in The Rocky Horror Show

There has been a time that Tim curry didn't want to be associated with rocky but recently he is turning and is that over.
Meat has got no problems with rocky he is even proud that he still has eddie's jacket from the movie. He think its great. It has been a very good career move I think, that he starred in Rocky.
The sequel, Shock Treatment, (neither Tim curry or Meat where in it) people where ashamed that the stared in it and want not to be associated with that movie (Ruby Wax, John Candy, Rick Mayal, etc.), But I think it is a great movie.
By the way acording to my information, they are making a television series based on the Rocky Horror Picture Show in America. It is called The Rocky Horror birthday show.
Greetz Timie
Do you know if it's going to be the original cast?
I doubt it will be the original cast because the narrator (Charles..?????) sadly died quite recently i believe.
Also I believe the guy who played Rocky has left showbiz. I think I remember reading that he had bought an antiques shop somewhere! Of course that could have happened in my own little world where everything makes sense :? :P :? :? :? :?
Yeah, I also read that Rocy became an antiques dealer and left showbiz, but if Tim Curry was to be Frank again and Meat to be Eddie or anyone else from the original picture show to appear in it.

  I always thought it meant something completely different
White of High you really need to see this film and if you can get to a stage production or a cinema showing with a shadow even better!!!
This is one of my other obsesions.....Was at a charity showing a few months back with an appearance by Richard O'Brien, and I heard that he's steped in on one venue of the recent tour to cover Riff Raff who went sick. (dunno ifthats actually true thou')
Litterly it means hot patato.

For some reason I've been singing "Hot Patootie" around the house a bit too much and my son (6 years old) has picked it up. Unfortunately, he thinks the title is "Hit My Bootie", and that's what he's been yelling at the playground: hit my bootie/bless my soul/I really love that rock and roll. Apparently there are no other RHPC fans at the playground, as the other mothers just sort of roll their eyes at him.

Hot Patootie is on the I'd Lie For You CD single, but it's called Whatever Happened to Saturday Night. Must be an alternative title. And one that makes more sense :D

It's the same alternate (more like additional) title on the Live Around the World CD.
