 Hi guys.
Me and the Carol (the Mrs) have just got in from work doing the karaoke,so we're just sitting off having a beer :D ,and watching the Hits Out Of Hell vid.
I've just got to thinking,do any of our fellow Bats ever get up and belt out their favorite songs on the local karaoke? If so what do you sing?
My favorites(and the ones that go down best) are the Meat Loaf tributes-Took The Words,2 Outta 3,Paradise,Bat Out Of Hell and especially Anything For Love.
I'd love to be able to sing I'm Gonna Love Her For Both Of Us,but I never seem able to get it just right on the chorus(believe me that song is ten times harder to sing than Bat).
If you havn't tried karaoke yet give it a shot. But be WARNED,it is highly addictive.

Thats pure talent!!! I wish I could sing, but my voice sounds awful and very tinny, maybe my voice is changing? Anyhow, you should make a CD or cassette of yourselves doing the ML tribute!
I love to do karaoke...i cant sing to save my life....but i dont give a fiddler's fart!!!! I just love to do it. Hubby cringes whenever i get up to sing..he then hides  cant imagine why
I do tend to sing Meat Loaf songs mainly, 'you took the words right outta my mouth', being my fave..but i do a great out of tune and off key, 2 out of 3...
I think it's great if you have the talent to make a living from singing...i think they would pay me just to shut up.... :P

I have sung BOOH before at a karaoke, the full version not the shortened radio edit and that went down like no other song that night everyone loved it :D . 'You Took the Words Right Outta My Mouth' is another of my best, I used to do 'Dead Ringer' and 'I'de Lie For You' with my ex girl friend but she will not join in, so I stopped. :(

I took part in a karaoke gig in my hometown last summer. I sang in front of 400 people that evening. That was during the town festival. Young people had the chance to sign up for the karaoke gig. Everyone of us had the possibility to sing five songs of the own choice. But only ten people became honored with a performance. I was one of them. So I sang five Meat songs. My five most favourite Meat songs. Here they are:
"I'd lie for you" (my girl friend was Patty)
"Life is a lemon"
"For crying out loud"
"I'm gonna love her for both of us"
"Wasted Youth"
I was the last had his performance on that evening. The people wanted more. And so I was all right to sing one more song. "Objects in the rear view mirror". Then my voice was down. I was very happy then, that it all was over. It was great, but because my voice wasn't made for a seventh song.
P.S. "I'm gonna love her for both of us" isn't so hard for me to sing. But you need so much air to breathe.
I have been known to sing karaoke. I tend to do "Not a dry eye in the house", 2 outta 3 or Read em and weep.
I ahve been told that my singing is tone deaf, flat as a fart and I couldn't carry a tune if it had a handle. However I believe I can sing and everyone else has tone deaf ears.
Last year at our staff party, the Dj who has heard me sing before, had a collection and raised 35 pounds in exchange for me not singing!

 Hi guys.Long time no see.
I havn't been here for a while, with one thing and another the last month has been a real Lemon.
Still,i'm back on line now and it's great to be back. :D
I was interested to hear that Garret has sang Life Is A Lemon and Wasted Youth,Also that Chris has sang Not A Dry Eye In The House, because I was recently given a list of Meat Loaf songs that are curently available on karaoke, and these songs were not on it.Could Garret and Chris please tell me if the tracks used were karaoke discs (with the words on the t.v.screen) or backing tracks. If anybody knows of any c.d. graphic discs with these songs on please let me know.
I've been looking for Life Is A Lemon everywhere, but I just can't find it. The only way I can sing it at the moment is to take the Bat 2 album to work with me and sing it with Meat (which isn't a bad thing  ).
P.S. If anybody is interested,I can leave a list of Meat songs that I know are available.

Where and how could I listen and try it?

so, given that somebody more-or-less raised it, what do you think is the hardest Meat song to sing?
obviously it depends on your individual pitch and strength etc, but I'm in agreement that "I'm gonna love her..." would be up there. For me the ballads are much easier as I don't have a rock voice, so "dead ringer" and "life is a lemon" are probably the hardest for me.
the most fun? "razors edge"! I love nailing that note on the 2nd bridge.

 O.K. the Meat Loaf songs that I know are available on karaoke are.....
A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste.
All Revved Up With No Place To Go.
Bat Out Of Hell.
Dead Ringer For Love.
Everything Louder Than Everything Else.
For Crying Out Loud.
Heaven Can Wait.
Hot Patootie.
I'd Do Anything For Love.
I'd Lie For You And That's The Truth.
I'm Gonna Love Her For Both Of Us.
Midnight At The Lost And Found.
No Matter What.
Objects In The Rear View Mirror.
Paradise By The Dashboard Light.
Read 'Em And Weep.
Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through.
Runnin' For The Red Light.
Tonight Is Right For Love.
Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad.
You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth.
Yah said that he has sung Razor's Edge, but as you can see,it isn't on my list.I would be interested to find out what disc it is on as it's my favorite song on the Midnight album.
For anybody interested in a Meat Loaf karaoke graphic c.d. I would recomend the Sunfly disc Meat 1.It has 12 Meat Loaf songs on it and sells for about £25.00 (although I have seen it cheaper on E Bay).My only critisism of the disc,is that the middle chorus of objects is missing.
White Of High wanted to know if there are any sites where you can download karaoke tracks.I'm afraid I don't know of any.Sorry.
I hope somebody finds this information useful.

I never said I'd sung it at karaoke - sorry.
On some home stereo systems you can remove certain tracks, and hence sing it without the lead vocal track. but also, you can just sing along with Meat (or try!) to see its a hard one.
