Jim - Bonnie Tyler: Rebel Without A Clue (8)

This song is one of Bonnie's fav. It's 8 and half minutes and I have to say it's a little bit long. I like it. It looks like between Bat Ot Of Hell and Paradise but the music is typical '80 song by Jim Steinman. I lov the next lines:

So hold me baby, hold me a little longer
Need me baby just a little stronger tonight
Move it darling move a little quicker
prove it darling blood is really thicker tonight
Drive on darling drive a little farther
Dream on darling dream a little harder tonight
Teach me baby teach me how to love you
Without me you're just another rebel without a clue

And I love the ending!
In the booklet you find a cycle what isn't sung by Bonnie:

I'm on a freeway to nowhere
Running on empty time
I gotta ticket to somewhere, anywhere
A long way down the line
I wanna go on the red light
I wanna go on the green
I wanna go on all the colors I see in between
There ain't no holding us down

Yes, it's from Peel Out!!!
But I don't know why isn't it in the song...

I have to notice one thing! Do you know the song Turn The Beat Around by Gloria Estefan? The basic melody is same. I don't know does Jim know about it or did he writes that song too? But I've found that nowhere like Jim's song. Well, what is your opinion about it?

My score: 8

But I did, and to start with your lasst question: Gloria who?? Wouldn't know that :-)

This is my favorite track from SD&FF, and has some beautiful lyrics, with this being my highlight:

"I've gone so far
That I'm way beyond redemption
There's nothing to it really
I think they call it love"

The instrumental part is fabulous, although a bit on the long side, maybe Bonnie's best vocal performance on the album... 8.5/10

What?
Don't you know who is Gloria Estefan?
Conga, Party Time, Salsa and Turn The Beat Around are her most famous songs. I'm sure you know her!!!

Has anyone heard Bonnie Tylers rebel without a clue? From what i've heard the ending borrows heavily from peel out, i wonder if this is true, perhaps someone who has this song could explain. XXXThanksXXX

I love this song - my favourite from the album I think.

It is just so darned singable!!!!

Great music, slightly overlong instrumental, and wonderful vocals from Bonnie Tyler - I reckon 9/10!

Has nobody heard the Gloria Estefan song, Turn The Beat Around??? It's similar and Gloria didn't say it would be a treatment...

The ending of the song (with the strange tinkling chimes) is the same as the ending of the Pandora's Box "Good Girls go to Heaven". "Took the Words" is also repeated (the opening power-chords). 10/10.
