Hi everyone, i finally found and bought bad attitude today
Bad attitude dissapointed me because it's all the remixed versions
Take the title track For example, On the original Meats voice is really loud and it sounds great, but on the remixes they've sped his voice up and made the music louder than his voice so you can hardly hear him, the whole po
int was that ''now meat's voice is back up to strength we'll make it louder than everything else'' does anyone else know what i mean? oh well i'm gonna have to keep searching.
This really belongs in Tyre Tracks & Broken Hearts so I've moved it there.

I didn't even know there was a remixed version. I thought there was only one version. Where can I get this other version?

Yes, there are two, on the back of my version it says ''produced by meat loaf paul jacobs an mack and on the inside sleeve it says ''original recordings produced by alan shacklock. the back of my copy of 'attitude' is black with white lettering on it, where as (i think) the original has artwork of a church window with a bike in the backround on the back of it with white lettering.

I have the original masters of some of the songs on the 80s compilation CD "Rock and Roll Hero". When I finally found the CD of "Bad Attitude," all the songs sounded really different. The tone and speed and everything was different. Even Meat's voice was different!! That's why I want it on LP, so I can hear the other songs (which weren't on Rock and Roll Hero) in their original form - and to (besides that) have the enlarged vinyl cover :-)
i have had the vinyl copy for 18 years or so . But there is no difference with the cd? What is this remix stuff all about?

I could be wrong, but NOWHERE'S FAST on my Bad Attitude sounds like it was remixed. Could be just me though.

The very start of the album - unlike the original masters on my Rock and Roll Hero CD - is really loud and resonant, and echoing. There must be "something" a-miss, because on the CD Shacklock's name is totally missing - and producer credits are: Meat Loaf, Paul Jacobs and Mack.

Hmm. . .it appears I have this remixed version. I've no qualms with the production myself. I can hear the vocals perfectly well.

This could explain something...
Is the version of Surf's Up different on Bad Attitude to the version on Rock n Roll Hero? I've got two different versions - I think the main difference is that the two versions have completely different guitar solos; but I haven't got Bad Attitude the album so I don't know...

Ok, I've just listened to a few tracks by listening to the vinyl followed by the cd. The only difference I can find is the quality between vinyl and cd. That might explain the different volume levels.
Or is there simply two versions of cd?
I received a copy of the LP "Bad Attitude" from a good friend the other day. And it is indeed, dfferent compared to my Audio CD.
The LP has more clearer vocals, as the CD does sound like it is remixed. I still feel that "Nowhere's Fast" with i think was Fire Inc. that recorded it is the best version, yet.
Meat's vocals on the LP are louder, and I wish the guitar had more heaviness to it, that would have made the record, even better! All in all, a brilliant album. :)
