Definitely I'd lie for you and that's the truth.
I didn't like the song as much and neither MTV or VH1 play it much anymore, but for a video it's mad, loads of action and explosions with an Indiana Jones style to it.
hmmmm that is a toughy...........
Maybe AFL as that was the beginninng for me in a sense

LizYeah, deffinatelly More than you deserve, I think the acting is great in it!
Objects. It's a very difficult song, and they made a video who can tell the whole story of this song. 8)
meat loaf is my god

I would Have To say Mine would be "If you really want to" Dont know why i like it But I think The vampier lady and how the coffin goes up in flames is cool :D
My faverate video would have to be 'obects in the rear veiw mirror', cus i think it rearly refects the lyrics rearly well.

I'd Lie For You is my favourite video, it just beats Objects because - on my video version, anyway - in the second verse of Objects, meat's mouth movements and the music aren't in sync. Dunno if this is because my Picture Show video is sh!te, or whether this is dodgy editing or what. The I'd Lie For You video is brilliant - it's as if they just said, "let's spunk a shed-load of money on loads of pointless explosions and stuff". Brilliantly OTT...

has got to be anything for love. the puprple sofa!!!
Now I've seen Objects' video, I think thats it's a very good video. I don't really have a favourite video.
erm...
Razor's Edge or Anything For Love,
I hope that Bat 3's music videos will be better than what CHSIB's videos were.

First time i'm posting a message here, but will do it more often. I don't remember the videos too much, though I've got the mpeg of anything for love and it's certainly the best video i'v ever seen for any song. I may be wrong, but I think i read somewhere that Anything for Love is one of the most expensive videos ever made.[/quote]

Actually, here's a bit of trivia for you: did you know the cameramen on the I'd Lie for You video were killed at the scene? Something to do with a helicopter crash. I read it in a book once and I remember being soooo shocked by it :( The best video, besides Anything for Love (THEEE ultimate) is DID I SAY THAT. It's just so spooky and weird

I know we've just been treated to a Live Meat video... but what about the possibility in the future of a DVD compilation of ALL of his videos i.e. not just the 'Best Of' videos, but EVERY SINGLE ONE he's ever done? There are loads of videos mentioned on here that I never even knew existed e.g. More Than You Deserve, and Surf's Up.
Re: the I'd Lie For You video... you know the bit where the dinghy is going over the edge of the waterfall, and the guy whips the helicopter and it lifts him and that lovely, lovely lady away (who is she, by the way?)... well the two bodies hanging from the helicopter in the shot where it flies away were fake bodies. After that scene, the helicopter was flying back to base or wherever and it hit powerlines, killing the crew. That's what I heard anyway.
:D got to be "object's"
Definitely 'objects' but I agree with the comment about DIST - what was that all about? Interesting visuals but not sure it connected with the lyrics in any way...

It's a great idea. There are some videos unknows for me, and i think it would be very interesting
Of course anything for for love...the video is some kind of magic, best song, best video...what more can I say???

In my honest opinion...the video to "Did I say That" tainted the song for me...i loved it before i saw the video.

Glad I'm not the only one - such emotional content if translated well could have made much more of an impact...never mind

When CHSIB Meat was at "TV Total", a famous german show, there he said that the german director of the video, Martin Weiss, always wanted to have a car about somebody in his video, so it has got nothing to do with the song!!! If you can understand german, click here:

8) My Fvaourite video has to be I'd do anyhting for love. I love the gothic style. Its beautifully shot, its very cleverly done. I alsao love objects video that was very cleverly done. Meat said in the bat 2 vidieo interview that the band, and the director ,didn't want to put us fans in a situation where, you only think of the video with the song. Jim's lyrics can tell a story but, be completey diffrent to the perosn who's listening. If you know what i mean? Meat's performances and steinman's songs are like mini movies and its so much more fun to listen to a stroy being told, it keeps you gripped. Grace

Got to say I'd like to see a compliation of video's on a CD, especially early one's, including interviews and some of those with rare footage, by the way has the MEATLOAF STORY ever been put out on CD or is it just on tape ?

Yeah, that would be great. There already exist some DVDs with videos but a compilation of all videos and some special interviews would be more fantastic :bunny:
There are many videos I haven't seen yet or didn't even know they existed, but from what I've seen so far my favorites are Objects In The Rear View Mirror and Anything For Love :p

My favourite videos are: Objects In The Rear View Mirror, Anything For Love, I'd Lie For You, More Than You Deserve, Not A Dry Eye and Rock And Roll Dreams
'I Would Do Anything For Love' was a brilliant one and the first I ever saw or heard from Meat Loaf but I have to agree that 'Objects in the Rear View Mirror' was pritty good too because of the way that the story is told through it!

Objects it great!!! CHSIB was also very good, very Operah like :D
Original Sin also has some nice baritone notes at the beginning and end which show off Meat's lower ranges nicely :D

It's either one of three, i love 'Anything for love','Not a dry eye in the house' and 'I'd lie for you'. I think all of them are very good. They are also the biggest budget videos which really shows in all of them.
AFL, definiately!! Although I think "Objects, R&R Deams and I'd Lie For You" are also very very good.. :))

AFL, Objects and ILFY, although the video didn't quite fit the song, it was still a great video. R&R Dreams was too weird, Meat as a genie or goblin or whatever he was meant to be just didn't make any sense.
It's a real pity that there wasn't any decent music video's of any of the songs from Bat. Deadringer had MTYD and DRFL, R&W was just an awful video but IGLHFBOU could have been made into a classi video.
Why Meat hasn't brought out a full DVD of all his music video's I don't know.

I've often wondered this as well... and hope like heck, that Meat does this before he rides off into the sunset, some day. :D

Anyone else make the connection that in 'Crazy In Alabama' Meat Loaf played a character called 'John Doggett', in X-Files a character called John Doggett was played by Robert Patrick, and Robert Patrick played the character of Meat Loaf's (albeit very young) father in 'Objects In The Rearview Mirror'
Funny how these things go round in circles.
Pud
