This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic. Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!!!

Nocturnal Pleasure

Some years ago I didn't understand this song. I didn't know what does it mean? I didn't know Jim's real personality. And when I have seen the film about Meat Loaf's life I was understanding. The act when Meat is visiting Jim again in 1991-92 and he is listening the howling of the wolfs it explained everything to me. It's a fantastic picture of the nature and the people. The nocturnal power is stronger than everything else.

And a question: Is YWCA same than YMCA (just with women)? I know that Village People was singing YMCA and it is an anthem of homsexuals.

I ain't wanna score this song because it's only a vision...

Average: 8.93

Nocturnal Pleasure.

Tricky sunject. I think Jim should lay of the poetry.
Works better with lyrics methinks.
Anyway, the YWCA isthe Young Womens Christian Assosciation.

As for The Village People's Y.M.C.A, It's been called an openly gay record, and Christians (not generalising here, please no offense) who ran the centres rallied against it. I believe it was boycotted in the Bible Belt in the U.S. Anyway, it has been reffered to as a gay anthem ever since.

Great poetry of Jim. It's a typical Jim poet.

Especially on Live At Nassau Coliseum it sounds great.

I also don't give it a grade, because it isn't a official song. It is only a song, if it is an intro of something, so I will grade it for Live At Nassau Coliseum.

Nocturnal Pleasure/Heaven Can Wait (Live At Nassau Coliseum): 8/9

Indeed you can't call it a song. But why can't you rate a poem? And, i think those things are a reaction on or a sort of a sequel on a song.
For some reason i think Nocturnal Pleasure belongs by Peel Out. Don't know why, but in this case i would see it as a reaction on a song.

So i think a 8.7

this monologue is definitely written for the rockopera Neverland. The Lost boys stalks the streets with those (..). These are the lost boys (and golden girls) from Peter Pan. This street he's decribing is the same street as on BOOH and has the same spirit as BOOH, and Nowhere Fast.
It's great!
8/10

 Great poem.
I think it's great how Jim Steinman can put poetry on a rock album. The two things completly contrast each other but Jimmy makes it work perfectly 8) .
It's a song set in a world of complete anarchy with no law and no rules.A bit like Steinman's brain  .
The lyrics are great.Blowing up a building like a giant balloon.WOW.
Personaly,I think it makes a great intro to Dead Ringer.
9/10 Must be played on a mad jukebox.

I like how the echo is kind of reversed, but if you ask me, it was too short, and just little interesting. I wish he would have used the extended version. 8\10 starting to like it more!
