Hey folks
heres the dilema:
Auntie mags has been to see my female meat loaf tribute(long story lol)
and says i should teach others how to sing the same sort of style and maybe give them the confidence to pull it off.
Im unsure...
should i go for it or let it fly out the window?
hugs

I'd have to say let it go.

Go for it, you never know until you try.

go for it! Only tryers get anywhere in the world, jimmie was a tryer, meat was a tryer, john lennon was a tryer...

Jesus-H-Holy Mother Of Pineapples 8O I find myself agreeing with Rob yet again.

I'd say let it go. Family can be very supportive at times but in general they're a bunch of lying ~~~~~~~s who hardly ever tell you the truth.

Also what you've got to ask yourself, unless you're a Meat Loaf fan and wanting to start a Meat Loaf band then why would anybody want to learn to sing in the same style as the big man?

no pud and rob, if people had that attitude to life where would we be?

What attitude?

If you want me to put it bluntly I think it's a silly idea.

I don't think it really matters that much what any of us have to say...if you feel this is something you want to do (and I think it Is or you would not be asking, right!) So... Go For It!

Rob, people i bet thought that morrisey or the smiths had a silly idea. bet they got far! I say try, it's all you can do!

I have to agree with Rob. There is no point learning how to sing like someone else, we each sing in a different way thats the way its supposed to be. Teach people how to sing fine whatever, but to teach them how to sing like Meat, NO.

Not like meat, but in the same confident way.

If our opinions didn't matter then this thread would have never been born with the title 'should i go for it?' at the top. If all Fallen Angel wanted was 'emotional support' for a decision already made, then she should have paid her $40 and joined the new official Meat Loaf site.

Again, that's stylistically restricting. When I sing I don't sound confident, I have little tics and nervour twitches in my voice. It's not overblown and dramatic because I don't want ti to be.

People need to find their own voice.

Ps. Morrissey can't sing. . .

As a matter of fact im very unsure about what to do. Trying to get people to sing like some1 else as i told my auntie is impossible. but giving them the sense of security that some people require is easier. guys im speechless the various arguments have got me more confused than i was at the start 8O

You will never know unless you give it a go.

If you try & it does not work out - well at least you can say that you attempted it - if you leave it - you may regret it later
