parents are confusing...

Mum: be nice to mummy and make me a nice pizza?

(Eddie goes up and cooks pizza in microwave. gives pizza on the cardboard bit, the way i eat it to her)

Mum: On a plate please

(Eddie grumbles and puts pizza on a plastic plate)

Mum: On a china plate!

Eddie: Mum, I have moved this pizza all over the place, dirtied a clean plate, etc...

(eddie puts pizza on a huge china plate where the Chicago Town microwave pizza looks ridiculous and mother eats it)

Mum: Thanks!

Eddie: what was wrong with the plastic plate?

Mum: boy are you gonna have a shock one day...




Parents out there... explain please by what mum means by that? I know what shock means, it means one day i'll have to fend for myself in this cold hearted world with no warm bosom of security to hold onto etc etc but i have put it on a plastic plate that is quickler, simpler, so if i do things quick i'm in for a shock and if i do things nice and fancy (rare) i'm in for a shock...

EXPLANATION FROM PARENTS WORLDWIDE NEEDED OR IS IT JUST DUE TO THE FACT MUMS JUST AS WEIRD AS ME?????

Erm, parents are difficult like that. She perfers a china plate. Simple before doing something in the future ask her how she wants it done, she will be happy, that you took the initiative.
