I'm very sorry to have to share this news with you but Wezzie has asked this news about Vee of the OIFC be passed along.

Hi my most batty friends,

This is the hardest thing I will ever have to write. I spoke to Linda's husband about an hour ago and we thought you should know that Linda passed away late this afternoon, after her long illness.
I don't know what else to say because my heart is breaking.
You know with all the rotten people in this world why couldn't it have been one of them instead of Linda.
Tom has asked that no flowers be sent, if you wish to send a monetary gift that would be greatly appreciated.
I can't write any more for now I just feel lost.
Hugs
Wezzie

My condolences go out to her family and friends. The Meat Loaf community has lost a true dedicated friend. :(

This is very, very sad news to hear that Vee has lost her long, brave battle, and such a shock too as she seemed to be getting a little better.

Vee was a major figure in the Meat Loaf community, a devoted fan, selflessly and willingly giving so much of her time working for the Official Meat Loaf Fan Club to share her love of the man and his music with fellow fans.

She was always a kind, warm person to correspond with and she will be missed so much.

My deepest sympathies and sincere condolences go to Vee's husband Tom, her family and friends.

God bless you Vee

Vee will be sadly missed

Meet me downtown on the corner
I'll be waiting in a big old yellow cab
Don't bring a suitcase
You won't need a thing
There'll be no worries
Where angels sing I got my ticket in my hand
Oh the price is paid in full
No man can stop me
Their words won't sting you
No dreams will haunt me
Where angels sing

I get so weary
On this troubled road
Unlock these chains
And gently rock me home
Beyond the clouds and the rain
Where angels sing
Where angels sing
Where lies can't hurt me
The flesh desert me
No in or out
No loss or doubt
No living with or doing without
Where money ain't the power king
And kindness is the most precious thing
Where angels sing
Where angels sing
Where time means nothing
No hustle
No one rushing
No dark of night
No hate or spite
No wrong or right
No day or night
No town and no cities
There's no pain and no pity
Where hunger is no longer
And a good man just gets stronger
Where angels sing

I'm sure all our deepest sympathy goes to the family - Vee put up a brave fight

NEVER STOP ROCKING

I have tearfully added Vee and her family to my prayers.

I only had contact with her a few times, but she was always patient, and funny, and happy to answer any question.

I remember when tho OIFC forum was closed for a time because of some major personality conflicts. Vee was so sad to do it, but she cared so much about Meat and his fans, that she opted to give us all the time to regroup and realize that we could get akong with all our differing opinions.

That conviction and quiet strength will be missed.

Rest in Peace Vee

The times we had together will be cherished foever now.
The times we laughed, played and even fought will be cherished now.
These are precious moments never even thought of till after death.
So please heed my word people, cherish every day now before it's too late.
Give all your love to everyone and everthing as if it was the last time you could.

 I can't begin to know how Tom and the Family are feeling at the moment. I never got to meet Vee when we were over in the States in 2000 visiting Wezzie, but i did speak to her on the phone a few times and she was a lovely, caring person and i know she will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched. Please know that our Prayers are with Vee's Family and Friends at this time.

We are so sorry to hear that Vee has passed away after a brave battle.

Vee worked tirelessly for OIFC and was a great spirit and force in the greater Meat Loaf Fan Community helping to bring us all together.

She will of course be sadly missed and now we must all work as hard as Vee did to keep that community alive. It will be the best tribute we can all make on her behalf.

I had the pleasure of exchanging a few emails with Vee in days gone by, and her love and enthusiasm for life and of course Meat Loaf were self evident in her words.

I know her family and friends will be suffering right now, and my heart goes out to them, one day soon they'll all be able to look back with fondness and much love at the memories their time with Vee brought them

Our son Lewis has a brain tumor and Linda not only made his and our dream a reality but did it whilst she was so ill (january time). She even went out of her way to get one of her special pictures of Meat to Lewis. This has definately come as a shock as we thought she was making good progress. We are deeply sadened by the news. It was completely unexpected. What an inspiration she was, thinking of everybody else before herself. She will always be in our thoughts. Please let us know if their is anything we can do, and tell her family we are thinking of them too.
She was a very special person......

What a shock, Vee seemed to be a little better and what a brave lady, she went through so much and kept fighting for so long. I never actually met her but had emailed a few times and followed her progress via the cards thanks to Caryl. I'm sure she's in a better, peaceful place. All our love to Tom and Annie - a terrible loss for so many people.

We've put together a tribute book for Vee on the ROL. Instead of condolences, we'd like people to share their happy stories and memories about her ... which we'll print off and put together as a book for her family.

Please click on the link below if you would like to send us your story and picture :

Memories Of Vee (http://republic-of-loafdom.com/main/Vee/memories.htm)

Thank you very much.

Hi everybody.

The finished version of the book has been sent to Vee's family and can now be viewed on-line at :

Vee Tribute (http://republic-of-loafdom.com/main/Vee/MainTribute.htm)

It's not too late for anyone who hasn't yet made a contribution to make one in the on-line version, which will be left on the web as a permanent tribute, and that this can be done either by using the link in my post (immediately above this one), or at certain points when viewing the book on line.

Thank you very much.

This really hit me on the spot, made my eyes really water alot, which says alot because I haven't really cried since May and that's only because I made myself really hard, because I lost my cat.

Well I just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you , and all of you, truely amazing people you are in your own unique way!

Anthony.
