broke stereo

can someone give me some advise please. i had my dvd player wired through my hifi system, when i went to move it to another part of my room i droped it. now the plugs have, broken of inside the hifi player, can i buy an ampfi and wire the dvd player to it and speakers to it will that work ,cos i like to watch meat on dvd with the headphones on

Any DVD player should have regular stereo audio output jacks.
These should work with any amplifier, just connect it like a regular cd player.

I think it's only fit for the bin...Time to buy another one!
