:twisted: Had the night off last night, so went into town with my dad to find some karaoke or live music.
Hit one karaoke that had an unusual feature.No TV 8O .Luckily, I don't need the words :lol: .Sang All Reavved Up (I LOVE singing that song on a Saturday night), and the guy put me on again straight away for Two Outta Three.
Went to another pub and sang the same two songs :lol: .
Finally, the karaokes are finished :( .We head off to a place where they have live bands.Don't like discos.Live music rocks.
Anyway, gets to this place, and there's a singer on the stage singing to backing tracks.
This guys gonna finish, the DJ is gonna play for a quick set, then the band is going on.By now, i'm a little bit drunk, so I ask the guy if I can do a song before the band come on.Sing along to a song you mean? he asks.No, i've got some backing tracks.OK, he says, the band are coming on in a min, but if you wanna wait till they've finished, i'll put you on after them.Cool 8) .
While i'm at the bar, the DJ asks my dad if i'm any good.He's not bad :wink: my dad tells him.He also mentions that two of my cousins play the venue pretty regularly.What band are they in? the DJ asks.The Mersey Beatles (Beatles tribute act) dad tells him.Your joking he says.I'm their new keyboard player :lmao: .Small world eh? 8O
So I come back, and i'm thinking i'm gonna do one song, but now this guy is putting a set together for me :lmao:
I give him the disc with All Reavved Up on, and he asks me what else I wanna do.I give him another disc and ask for track 11.And? he asks.Erm :roll: , well give me 11 and 1 on this one I say handing over a third disc.The track 1 on the last disc was Modern Girl.I decided to change it for Bat.It was a good decision :wink: .
First off, I went into All Reavved Up.At the end, people are shouting for Two Outta Three.Luckily, that was the song i'd arranged to be played next.After Two Outta Three, I went into Took The Words.At the end of that, people were shouting for Bat.That's why it was lucky i'd changed my mind away from Modern Girl.
It wasn't the greatest sound i've ever had.It was only DJ equipment and not designed for an artist, but it still sounded OK and the tribute spot went down a storm.
I got to get drunk and do a tribute spot on my night off.
