I'm not techie and I don't own alot of techie "toys". I love my computer and consider it a friend and the little mp3 player I recently received is ultra-cool and I'm glad I finally broke down on that ! ... lol ... tis very unusual for a timing chain to break, more usual for the tensioner to fail, either way, if it broke at very very low revs, the damage might just be to the valves... should be cheaper and easier than an engine swap i imagine

What a glorious day weather-wise in Northeastern Pennsylvania today.

Looking out my back door at the mountains that are starting to change into their autumn colors. Potted geraniums that have held tight against cold nights and still alive with color. True survivors.

Bright and sunny, with a slight, coolish breeze.

So, what's the problem with my mood? I've never fully grasped the concept of living in the moment. Winter follows autumn.

Enough said. :(

Why people must be so downright UGLY escapes me. There must be something seriously lacking in their own lives to make them lash out at others so maliciously. Perhaps it is easier doing that than attempting to confront their own demons in an effort to make things right from within? :shock:

A reviewer must, imo, be totally unbiased - it should be a professional requirement of the job, but naturally, an unbiased nature can't be policed. Sure, not every review is going to be positive, but there is absolutely no need for brutal, poisonous personal flaying. :twisted:

And as Mel points out, Meat certainly doesn't deserve this treatment. Not only is Meat imo one of the greatest performers of all time, he is a true humanitarian. He is a NICE man. He's a passionate man, and passion, imo, is one of Meat's cornerstone traits that makes him such an unforgettable performer. And yes, sometimes the passion manifests in other ways, such as self-defense, but Meat is not a bronze statue - he is a human being.

Meat's exhaustive efforts on Celebrity Apprentice on behalf of his charity, The Painted Turtle, were simply incredibly. And, when frustrated by circumstances he could not control, he was shamelessly moved to tears on behalf of the kids of The Painted Turtle. Did he care that his tears would be seen by millions? No, of course not, because that is the kind of man Meat is ~ unafraid to show his human side, and it's that human side that makes me especially proud to be a life-long Meat Loaf fan.

Just sayin'. ;)

Couldn't agree more SueL! People have little to do, they really do! They are simply sick and twisted individuals with nothing else to do. Most likely on government benifits and not wanting to work, so they bully people on line! But they only go that far as they haven't got the balls to face people, like Meat, in person! You know, even though I'm only 32, I was brought up old school, like many. If I was caught being nasty that way, I would have got a serve, a smack and priviledges taken away. I was always taught you had to respect others, there opinions, tell the truth, show love and care and compassion. To show common courtesy! But these days! Well the evidence is here and on face book! It's horrid! Old traditions have gone and the younger generation just don't care! As for the press, they are getting worse and worse, and they don't care who they leave in their wake. It's a Mad Mad World we live in!

I listen to ALL his music, I try and help out TPT/LFTT, I read stuff about him, I discuss him in groups, and you know what? I love the guy! There is nothing to hate there mate!!!! He's loving, caring, compassionate, big hearted, charismatic, and just a beautiful soul! And I didn't learn that from knowing him in the flesh, but from what I was reading and hearing about him, and from going to his concert too! Couldn't agree with you more there Melon! Unfortunately though, the next generations coming up the line have a totally differently attitude in life and don't really get taught all the morals etc in life! How to treat people, well they don't seem to comprehend how to do that properly! I'm lucky, where I'm sending Jessica to school, they teach all this stuff and with Dave and I teaching her that to she is in for a better chance in life and won't be so rude and crude like the younger ones bagging out Meat now! If only they took a moment to know the guy, then they might change their ways!

uuhh, I think you totally miscontrued and missed my point. From a societal viewpoint, I do believe, perhaps, it's easier for people to cyber-bully someone anonymously, someone they do not even know, because if they were for one second to know someone, for example, Meat Loaf, they would not cyber-bully them or be a hater.

Thanks, Lyn; ;) I agree with everything you said as well. And as for it being a Mad, Mad World, whoa!, how true is that? :| To Hell in a Handbasket could not be a more apt title for Meat's latest album.

If the human race doesn't wise up enough to stop things from spiraling so out of control and it all falls straight into hell, all hope is gone for future generations. And that's damn scary. :(

Hi Lyn!! I just realized when I finished my last message (it was to you), that we have talked many times on FB. You know I tell it like I see it, and I do think you mis-interpreted Juniper's post.

What I think happened is that we're all trying to convey our own feelings about this "hate factor" that is so abhorrent to everyone, and we're all saying it differently but meaning the same thing. I think "seeing" Meat so upset today has thrown everyone for a loop, but Juniper is one of the good guys. Who is a girl. :D

Do you know what I'm trying to say? :lol: More often than not, I confuse myself! :shock: ;) But not this time. It's cool, believe me. :cool:

I'm sorry if this offends anyone but I need to get it off my chest:

~~~~ YOU CHESHIRE POLICE ~~~~, ~~~~, ~~~~ YOU!
So, I live on a very respectful street. It's a street of brand new housing (built 2003) everyone if very friendly. But oh no, the council have to build social at the end of our street. Now I've not got anything aginst people who lives in social housing, but these people are scum, sub human SCUM! For the past 6 years we have had to put up with these chavvy people's failed abortions. Their antics range from abuse, right up to attempted arson (on my ~~~~ing house!) to criminal damage. So today these pricks decided to terrorise my old neighbour by chucking rocks at his house. He tried to chase after them but they picked up huge ~~~~ off sticks and chased him. He got in his car and drove off after them up the road. So anyway the police came, and interview these chav kids, didn't seemed to care what us respectful people had to say. What did they do? Arrest my ~~~~ing neighbour, but oh no they decided that they needed four police officer to tackle him to the ground, he's an old man, I'm pretty sure they tasered him. When they got him in the police car it looked like he was going to have a heart attack, ~~~~s! Anyway these kids were still shouting abuse and then their parents came up. Mrs. orangeslut and Charlie chav, I mean think strerotypical chav couples and you have the parents. All these parents do is let their kids out all day and don't give a rats arse about them. They shouldn't be allowed to produce. I mean the Dad's are normally in prison and the Mothers are either bonking someone else are staying in their house getting fat. It made my physically sick to see what the Police did today, I've lost all faith in them. They don't seem to care at all, these kids need a beating and quick!
Tomorrow, the police are getting a complaint, and I pity the poor person who picks up the phone at the Housing association tomorrow as I want these dicks to become homeless, it's a privilege they live in these houses not a right. The Police handled the whole situation like idiots, if they needed to arrest my nieghbour they could have taken him into his own home sat him down and explained. Not acted they they acted!
So upset and angry! :angry::angry::angry:
Again sorry if it offends anyone, but Christ I'm angry!!!
We need a Gene Hunt and quickly!
Well Mum's back, the Police explained everything. Really nice guys and they felt really bad about what they did to my neighbour. Turned out he actually went to swing for one of the Officers, so fair enough they did have to wrestle him to the ground. If he had co-operated they wouldn't have even handcuffed him. So I take back my rant towards them. They're also on his side and they're making sure these kids aren't getting away with it. Too many witnesses against them this time!
I'm sorry if this offends anyone but I need to get it off my chest:
~~~~ YOU CHESHIRE POLICE ~~~~, ~~~~, ~~~~ YOU!

So, I live on a very respectful street. It's a street of brand new housing (built 2003) everyone if very friendly. But oh no, the council have to build social at the end of our street. Now I've not got anything aginst people who lives in social housing, but these people are scum, sub human SCUM! For the past 6 years we have had to put up with these chavvy people's failed abortions. Their antics range from abuse, right up to attempted arson (on my ~~~~ing house!) to criminal damage. So today these pricks decided to terrorise my old neighbour by chucking rocks at his house. He tried to chase after them but they picked up huge ~~~~ off sticks and chased him. He got in his car and drove off after them up the road. So anyway the police came, and interview these chav kids, didn't seemed to care what us respectful people had to say. What did they do? Arrest my ~~~~ing neighbour, but oh no they decided that they needed four police officer to tackle him to the ground, he's an old man, I'm pretty sure they tasered him. When they got him in the police car it looked like he was going to have a heart attack, ~~~~s! Anyway these kids were still shouting abuse and then their parents came up. Mrs. orangeslut and Charlie chav, I mean think strerotypical chav couples and you have the parents. All these parents do is let their kids out all day and don't give a rats arse about them. They shouldn't be allowed to produce. I mean the Dad's are normally in prison and the Mothers are either bonking someone else are staying in their house getting fat. It made my physically sick to see what the Police did today, I've lost all faith in them. They don't seem to care at all, these kids need a beating and quick!

Tomorrow, the police are getting a complaint, and I pity the poor person who picks up the phone at the Housing association tomorrow as I want these dicks to become homeless, it's a privilege they live in these houses not a right. The Police handled the whole situation like idiots, if they needed to arrest my nieghbour they could have taken him into his own home sat him down and explained. Not acted they they acted!

So upset and angry! :angry::angry::angry:

Again sorry if it offends anyone, but Christ I'm angry!!!

We need a Gene Hunt and quickly!

The World really has gone to hell in a handbasket!

That's good to hear. The community is sticking together. That's how you have to do it !

Well Mum's back, the Police explained everything. Really nice guys and they felt really bad about what they did to my neighbour. Turned out he actually went to swing for one of the Officers, so fair enough they did have to wrestle him to the ground. If he had co-operated they wouldn't have even handcuffed him. So I take back my rant towards them. They're also on his side and they're making sure these kids aren't getting away with it. Too many witnesses against them this time!

The word chav is a British word basically means aggressive and arrogant teenagers and young adults. All they want to do is cause trouble.

Played the entire Modern Warfare 3 campaign today. Out of the 3 it had to be the best storyline. The whole campaign was a masterpiece with the music and the voice acting.

Watched Ricky Gervais' new programme - Life's Too Short. Warwick Davis, Stepehn Merchan, Ricky Gervais and Barry from Eastenders are brilliant.

Excellent drive from Lewis

Indeed! Nice to see him and Massa keep clear of each other for a change.

Shame Vettel's car was undriveable, would've been interesting to see him battle from the back of the pack and see him have to overtake people for once.
