On the plus side the Chairboys beat Newport. The last time they won away in the Welsh town was a 5-3 in the year Newport from were expunged from the Conference for financial irregularities well over 20 years ago. I know, I was there caged behind the goal dodging missiles from the locals!!!

I got excited the other day when I saw that they did a gluten free pizza base. Now all I need is a dairy free cheese and I'm set. :)
Are you lactose intolerant or milk intolerant Jenna? Cheese is a dairy product with varying amounts of lactose, though all contain limited amounts. If you're lactose intolerant try a much harder cheese with little to no lactose involved, like an aged Parmesan or Gruyere.
If you're simply all dairy intolerant try one of the many vegan substitutes .. like Bute Island or Tofutti, who do a wide range of soya based "sheeses" .. you can get them from Goodness Direct, including cheddar style and mozzarella sliced or grated

I'm lactose intolerant.
Normally I'll buy the specific 'lactose free' cheese but Dominos Pizza have yet to add lactose or dairy free cheeses to their menus.
Oh well, it's still going to have to be home-made pizzas for me. ;)
Which will be far better for you anyway ;) Just think how lucky you are that now there are so many products easily available for those with food intolerances, and ones which don't taste like crap :)

Domino's has improved their product in recent years, but there's so much better pizza around here that Domino's is about the last thing I'd choose (sorry to those who like it).
This is what I call pizza: :-)

That is very true and it's better for my bank balance as well. ;)
It's great to see how far things have come with free-from food these past couple of years. A few years ago, it seemed like you were lucky if you could find anything more than a bag of gluten free flour or a loaf of gluten free bread outside of the specialist shops and now there's choices of cakes, pastries, different types of breads and more and more restaurants are now offering specific GF menus.

What would you say are the best pizza restaurants in the USA? Before I had to give up pizza, I used to find that some of the little independent restaurants were so much superior to what was offered by some of the chains. Personally I was never a fan of Pizza Hut.

You are very right about the independents being much superior to the chains; I've never been a fan of Pizza Hut, either.
As to the best pizza restaurants in the U.S., it really depends on the city/part of the country; different styles of pizza are popular in different areas. If you go to New York, thin crust is most popular; here in Chicago, it is Chicago Style deep dish. There is also stuffed pizza, which has a second crust below the toppings.
There are a lot of great places in the city, but people often mention Lou Malnati's as the best: http://www.loumalnatis.com/
Since I have been branded with the "tumbles" name can I please adivse people that due to his worldwide globe trotting Mr TonyLoaf shall now be called Alan Wicker......or Judith Chalmers at weekends.
Thankyou.

I'm tired. And I don't just mean in terms of sleepiness. I mean in terms of people misinterpreting me and the things I say. I'm tired of one rule for some and another others. I'm tired of the world and it's inequalities. I'm tired of putting in the work while others take the piss.
I'm just plain tired. People are shite. Team sports are shite. Sport is shite.

A FB friend found a way to stop sleazy chat requests, thought I'd share it.
sung to the tune of " It don't come easy" by Ringo Starr
I Don't Chat Sleazy
I don't chat sleazy,
You know I don't chat sleazy.
I don't chat sleazy,
You know I don't chat sleazy.
I don't give a da*n where you like to put your hand
You know I don't chat sleazy.
I don't care that you're endowed
and you really get around,
You know I don't chat sleazy.
Forget your sexy texts and all your bragging
I don't give a rat's behind
Who you're shagging.
I don't ask for much, I just want you to shut up,
And you know I don't chat sleazy.
And these cheeks of mine get redder all the time,
'Cause you know I don't chat sleazy.

With just over 2 weeks to go until the "Beauty and the Beast" trail marathon, I've totted up my training mileage. Keeping a running log is not something I've ever done!
Since entering I've clocked up:
Runs - 106
Total mileage - 693 (or 1115 km for those who work in metric)
Average Run - 6.53 miles (or 10.52 km)
Longest Run - 22 miles
Shortest Run - 2 miles
A nice and easy fortnight should see me in tip-top condition for the adventure.
The course has 5000 feet worth of ascent and a river to wade through half a dozen times.
Sounds like a walk in the park. By the end it will be.
I've chosen "Dead Ringer For Love" as my music pick. Let's hope the DJ plays it just as I set off on the sixth and final lap as a little booster ( with a thousand entries the chance is more wishful).
Anyway, I am really looking forward to the challenge. I know it's by far and away the toughest event I have attempted but it seemed such a jolly when my wine-induced brain gave it the go-ahead.
I've lost nigh on 3 stone in weight and my 45 year frame is back to its youthful prime.:-)

This is the sports psychologist guy who guided Liverpool to the Premiership title last season, England to this summer's World Cup glory and whose mind games kept Luis Suarez on the straight and narrow the moment he left the Mersey.
Very apt he is famed for the Chimp Paradox model.

Why not? You can GF suet. I used to make and sell GF and DF mince pies .. and the mincemeat you make yourself is not only a piece of piss to make, but is infinitely better than anything you'd buy in a jar anyway ;)

I'll send you a recipe. It's just a matter of chopping apples (don't even have to peel them), grating rind of and squeezing some lemons and oranges, shoving them in a large bowl with the dried fruits, sugar, spices and nuts .. leaving it over night, then the next day putting it all in an ovensafe bowl and shoving it, covered, in the oven for about 3 hours at a low temp. Cooling a bit, stirring and shoving in jars. Keeps indefinitely. But requires no baking skills at all ;) If you can open packets, grate and squeeze the citrus, handle a small knife, stir, and carry to and from an oven you're in clover ;)

Phew!!!
My hamstring has suddenly been cramping up constantly over the last day or so. I've worried it may knock my participation on Saturday. My work colleague (who's also running) is much amused and says it's just a wimp-out.
So, an hour ago I set off on a light, loosener believing it'd ease the spasm. Got 50 yards down my road and had to pull-up. Not happy one jot.
Emergency action required.
On the off chance, I've sped up to a nearby sports clinic. Luckily, it was a walk-in surgery. I've explained my predicament.
He asked only two questions, "Do you run on pavements and are you right handed" to both of which I replied "Yes".
Before you could say Sebastian Newbold Coe he had me straddling his couch.
Two hefty yanks of my back later I was on my way.
He explained how he'd released the elastic band!
What a guy. Said he was a runner also and didn't charge me.
First time ever I've used one of these places. So glad I did.
Will need to buy him a bottle of wine after the race.

Fat Cat (character from a kids show here) was there because it was a special charity premiere screening.... and I ran riot ha ha. I could run freely from one end of the row to the other because we had the whole thing. Wish I could remember it! 23 adults taking one kid to see a movie. Priceless.
Anyway, I wasn't disappointed with this movie, I thought it was fun.

There was a great story on Radio 2 in the UK about a guy and his girlfriend who had been saving up for years to go to a BS gig and finally there dream came true. They had spent all there money getting flights to USA for a gig at madison square gardens and the only show tickets they could afford where right at the back up in the heavens. When they got there they were just thrilled to be at the show even though they were so far away.
As they were sitting down a man approached them and told them that he could get better seats than that and handed over a wristband and told them to make there way to the bottom level.
Would you of handed over your tickets to a complete stranger???

Yep, we call it being "MIB'd"- the guys are usually wearing black. :-)
The guy in the story was in the "Springsteen and I" movie, which while it has a few awkward (IMO) segments, it also has a few really good stories, such as the above, and the street busker who got Bruce to play with him out on the sidewalk, and a hilarious guy whose wife dragged him around to shows. Unfortunately, the version of the film that's out on TV/DVD doesn't have the epilogue (I believe), which is the best part, IMO, when they surprised a few of the fans in the film with a meeting with Bruce himself.

Because my funds are quite limited at the moment, I could only afford to either go to Birmingham to see Queen in concert or to go to London to see Meat on the West End. I know Meat's dates haven't yet been announced but I didn't want to lose out on the chance to go because I hadn't taken the costs into account. I didn't ever want to get to the point where I had to decide between the artists that I like but needs must. ;)
In the end I decided on saving the funds for London because as well as the show, it will be the celebration to mark the end of my time with The Open University.

I'd have loved to have been able to have seen them when Freddie was alive but from what I've read of the reviews Adam Lambert is quite good.
However a decision had to be made because the tickets for the Queen show went on pre-sale yesterday and if I was going to go, I'd have wanted to get tickets fairly early on to be in with a chance of getting a reasonable seat.

Arms must be raised to 60 degrees. Lifting the arms vertically could result in the flare landing on you if the wind drops. You it's also avert your face when you are firing.
