I've been wondering for a while now if the settled weather of recent weeks is due to the lack of aircraft in the skies...

Nothing to do with aircraft emissions, purely the act of them pushing through the air.

Like when a truck or bus drives by someone standing on the foothpath, they experience an initial force from the air displaced, and a lull in the aftermath, only in this example, potentially magnified and exaggerated, by the speed, volume and number of aircraft in the upper atmosphere.

who knows?

My assumption is he's just trying to get the most he can for it. I offered current market price, but that's about 600 less than I think he was offered last year. I remember when we were talking about it in february, he said if he was to break the tractor for parts, he thought he'd get around 1200 for the wheels and tyres, I thought he'd get about 800 though I didn't tell him that.

As you can imagine, I don't happen to have a couple of spare tractor wheels and tyres lying at my arse, so I'd have to buy some, and drop my offer to accomodate the extra expense.

First local quote for a pair of rims was 250 quid, then tyres are needed on top.

So I imagine it'll come down to further negotiations for it as it sits. It's not on it's original rims anymore, it's on bigger ones, and I must admit, I like the bigger ones, so we'll see.

He's in no rush, I'm in no rush

Shame it wasn't car rims, for I'm sure I must have about 40 of different sizes kicking about

Love him or hate him, Trump was right about one thing he constantly said at his rallies; after the election Covid 19 will be gone. It was clearly used as a political weapon on many fronts (mail in voting and political attack) since no one pinpointed what else should have been done. Now people are celebrating in the street as if there is no pandemic at all.

The likes of what Michelle Obama said about making it even easier to vote after congratulating Biden/Harris I think is scary:

France allowed mail-in voting from 1958 to 1975. It was replaced by proxy voting by law 75-1239 in December 1975. The reasons given at the time to get rid of mail-in voting are the same reasons not to reintroduce it today, namely, that it can and did permit significant fraud.

It is hard to believe Biden "attracted" more votes than Obama.

The mail in voting, EVEN IF FAIR, heavily suited the democrat / liberal ticket.
To simply disenfranchise conservative voters who mostly only come out on election day is disturbing.

Furthermore in person voting could easily still have happened I believe during this pandemic with measures and social distancing in place.
Have the voting stations open for 24 hours for several days if you have to.

Glad we didn't have an election in the UK this year.

Brisbane to Coventry, about a week, proceed through customs and onto Belfast mail centre, a further 5 days

and for the last 4 days my parcel has been sitting in the parcel force Belfast depot, waiting for them to write to me, asking me to pay a vat bill and service charge, before they will deliver.

For me to then have to fill in a customs declaration, to reclaim the vat and service charge that were never applicable to this purchase in the first place

So, give or take, 7 days to travel from Oz to the Uk, and 11 days to travel from the uk to the uk.

It really is feeling like 2009 again, we had Professor Neil Ferguson predicting a worst case scenario of 65000 deaths from swine flu, and a best case scenario of 3100 deaths. In the end swine flu killed 457 people. We had the brand new vaccine Pandemrix, given to 6M people in the UK. The vaccine had been approved by the European medicines agency for use across the EU, despite minimal clinical trials. The manufacturer, GSK was given an indemnity by the UK Government, yet a major study (after the event) by the UK Health Protection Agency (now PHE) found around one in every 55,000 jabs led to narcolepsy.

If memory serves from the Pfizer press release, their vaccine has been extensively tested on approximately 43,000 people.

If memory also serves, Pfizer set a record for the largest health care fraud settlement, and the largest criminal fine of any kind with 2.3Bn dollars in 2009.

And as a side note, Sir Patrick Vallance joined GSK in May 2006 as Head of Drug Discovery.

Forgive me for wanting more information to try and make a better informed decision, but all I am hearing on the news tonight is this is an apparent wonder cure.

Someone please show us the evidence, show us the numbers, show us the peer reviewed findings, not just hyberbole, not just one side of the debate.

I was interested to read this morning in an article titled Oxford vaccine regulatory authorisation: FAQ

"This efficacy result is based on data from younger (18–55 years old) adults – how do you know that it is safe for older adults?

The MHRA have approved this vaccine and have come to the conclusion that the dosing schedule can remain the same for these groups, we know further results are due in the next couple of months and will build on existing knowledge for older adults."

Link for the above..

https://www.research.ox.ac.uk/Article/2020-12-30-oxford-vaccine-regulatory-faq

Which had me wondering what have the MHRA published about this?

So a quick visit to the government website revealed the following...

"Elderly population

Efficacy and safety data are currently limited in individuals ≥65 years of age (see sections 4.8 and 5.1). No dosage adjustment is required.
Paediatric population

The safety and efficacy of COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca in children and adolescents (aged <18 years old) have not yet been established. No data are available."

and demographics quoted as...

"Baseline demographics were well balanced across COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca and control treatment groups. Overall, among the participants who received COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca, 94.1% of participants were 18 to 64 years old (with 5.9% aged 65 or older); 60.7% of subjects were female; 82.8% were White, 4.6% were Asian, and 4.4% were Black. A total of 2,070 (35.6%) participants had at least one pre-existing comorbidity (defined as a BMI ≥30 kg/m2, cardiovascular disorder, respiratory disease or diabetes). The median follow-up time post-dose 1 and post-dose 2 was 132 days and 63 days, respectively."

Full link to the above information...

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/regulatory-approval-of-covid-19-vaccine-astrazeneca/information-for-healthcare-professionals-on-covid-19-vaccine-astrazeneca

And yet the government is rolling this out first to the elderly and vulnerable?

Seems to me, this roll out is going to be the largest, virtually untested drug trial in the history of the UK

I couldn't believe the total deaths registered chart (for England and Wales) when I looked at it today... There has been a massive spike in deaths recorded in England and Wales this last few weeks. The jump on the chart was so big, I didn't believe it, and looked up the figures myself on the ONS. Between beginning of September and 1st of January the total weekly deaths recorded in England and Wales have fluctuated between 8k to 13k per week...

December to January figures

04/12/20 12,303
11/12/20 12,292
18/12/20 13,011
25/12/20 11,520
01/01/21 10,069

And then the total death rate goes nuts

08/01/21 17,751
15/01/21 18,042
22/01/01 18,676

Data sources..
https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/datasets/weeklyprovisionalfiguresondeathsregisteredinenglandandwales

What has caused the massive spike in deaths?
Why is it affecting the elderly more in January than December?
And why haven't the media investigated?

Took more than a couple of weeks, but it's done.

I now own a tractor.

(can't wait till my uncle gets to see it again, in person for the first time in over 30 years)

That’s been over 6 months virtually booze free, I’ve impressed myself!

And the tractor story is getting more and more into the realms of what’s the chances of that...

Firstly, finding it

Secondly, lady at the dealership still working there, and able to confirm it as the one supplied to my uncle.

Thirdly, The former training manager at the factory, who had to reconcile details of over 600 tractors at the time of the factory closure, has details of only one tractor the same model as mine... and it’s my one.

Fourthly and finally, I bought a panel on eBay, which when I contacted the seller about sourcing other panels, turns out he used to work at the dealership that supplied my tractor, and he even remembered it.

It’s almost as if it was destiny!

The cost of lockdowns crisis is really starting to pick up pace now, but was correctly predicted back in early 2020. The cost of the dangerous experimental gene therapy vaccines was clearly evident in the data over 18 months ago. From one manufactured crisis to another, to another, to another and so on. Is this the most dangerous time in history? Is it the most evil time in history? Who knows. But the convergence of the greatest fraud in history, along with the greatest crime against humanity suggests it's not a good time.. And there's a lot more to come.

Many many thanks for uploading the extended version!! If only the whole recording were to appear at some stage, but I've waited nearly 29 years to see that footage, so I'm happy to wait a few more.

It really was an awesome gig on the 7th.. Meat appeared to have a great time, as of course did the audience :)

That wembley gig looks to have the WTTN stage set up, as far as I remember, we had the earlier tour stage set, but then it was a smaller venue. Again if I remember correctly, it was "little brother Tony Loaf" that did the wasted youth speech for our gig.

Everything about that tour was brilliant, would've been awesome to see Happy Bob come rising up from that Wembley show recording

Thanks again Adje,
keep those treasures coming!

Ad, you've done it this time...

I've only just watched Meat and Jim together performing Heaven and Objects

Never ever did I think I'd get to see that

(and on almost Andy's birthday too)

Thank you very very much

Actually just applause, and I'm gonna watch those two songs again

Thanks also to the person who recorded it, and the person who shared the clip

My tractor is finally in a shed... for the first time since I bought it :)

And although I haven't finished watching Ad's compilation of the hang cool making videos, it was interesting to see Eric Vetro and Diane Warren both in attendance!

Another excellent speech in parliament by Andrew Bridgen today. At least we have one honourable MP who speaks up for the people.

I do genuinely believe people are starting to wake up to the lies and non stop propaganda they've been sold this last few years.

Let's hope we've seen the worst of the damage already, but I fear we're only at the beginning.

Why do most people do whatever it is they do? Do they like their job? Is it just to get by? Is it to meet people?

For I'm starting to wonder why do I do what I do, and if I wasn't doing it, what would I like to do.

And I'm struggling to answer both of those

When did Jim Steinman write Surfs Up?

Was it written for the second album, was it written for bat but held back, was it written for a different project?

The DVLA have angered me today

After a grand total of 2 years and 10 months, and something like 8 attempts to get the information, ironically enough, just over 2 years since that post... I now have the information that they told me they didn't have, over and over and over and over and over again etc.

But I'm delighted to say, they did have the information, as I had hoped and expected.

Persistence people. Never give up.

Though the fight isn't over yet, more work to do

Maybe I should direct my efforts towards something more worthwhile?

Today's letter has given me so much hope I'm nearly scared to believe it might be over and done by this day next week.

Almost a shame it wasn't something life changing and important, just a wee pet project that's taken 3 years on and off...

I wasn't at that show but did see that tour. It was the last time for me and maybe compared with what followed, it was the right time for me to bow out.

That video had some good performances though.

I wish you had more of it and in better quality, but it's a nice blast from the past, right down to the pixelation at the loud parts.

Well done on solving the cryptic puzzle by the way!

Was I there, yes I was... 31/5 (video typo ;) )

If my memory serves correctly (which is questionable), Wembley was just before the Belfast gig, and I'd been persuaded I had to go see Meat at Wembley, so made a very rare guest appearance in London.

Samcats Birthday event?

Was this the time MLUKFC were being FAR TOO LOUD at a hotel room after the gig??? can't quite be sure. But I think Mike might rem

My feet were absolutely ~~~~ED from all the walking though, that I do remember.

Such a brilliant welcoming friendly group of people in the Meat loaf community... especially the London squad!
