View Full Version : Total Eclips of the Heart
I didn't know where to put it, so it put it in Off Topic.
I've just heard the CD of Jan Wayne (my brother likes that, not me....) and there is a song on, and this is a remake of Total Eclipse of the Heart. And it is so bad!!! You won't believe you ears. They f*cked up a Steinman song!!!
This is so bad. Every good song they make a remake of it, or they rereleased it, with a huge beat, a womans voice that can't sing (but mostly looks great  ) and than a videoclip that is really to bad to see.
I don't know if other people have the same "problem" as i have, but i can't see those terrible 'things' nomore! It's so bad, that they use nice, beautifull songs from the 60/70/80 's and that the make a horrible song of it. Lack of inspiration orso?
Within a few years you will have the first Meat Loaf song, that will be terrorised in this way. If that happens, i'm going crazy  !!!

I don't know that is this version what I know, but I have heard a version of Total Eclipse Of The Heart. It was a computer song. I say with my friend: it is "pufci". It's terrible. I hate rave, techno and other computer music. Where is the deep emotions? If you watch TV you would see "pufci"...

And another version...
You can listen this song in Dance Of The Vampires or Tanz der Vampire. The deutsch version is too strange by the language. But these are good...
I only heard in a disco a techno/dance version of Total Eclipse, and it sounds terrible.
The version I have from Night Of The Proms is great! That's the way a Steinman song has to be preformed!
No Matter What of Boyzone is also bad, they destroyed all things of the song what are typical Steinman things.

I really hate Jan Wayne for crushing this great Steinman song to a senseless waste. It's terrible! But I guess, I would run amok, if anyone of those techno freaks destroy a Meat song this way. Ok, perhaps I wouldn't run amok, but I would be very angry.

I still think that Steinman made Bonnie Tyler.
Are you sure? I personally reckon it was Mr and Mrs. Tyler!!!
:P :D
I'm in one of those silly moods

Yes, Jimmy Steinman, creator of all things good. Except Talking Heads, that was most definitely Byrne.
I've heard that there is a remix of I'do Anything for love. Does anyone has some more info about this?

Hello everyone, I've been away for a few days and one day, when I was resting in bed, I heard Jan Wayne's cover of Total Eclipse, I did not put it on, it was a guy there that owns a dex and has a bunch of records, this is one of them and I didn't like it, when I heard it I said to myself "next time I go on the fourm, I'm going to tell the guys there." this is bad and I can predict in the next few years time, someone is going to come along and cover Bat Out Of Hell, the Steinman stuff wasn't there and four artists, Boyzone, Prefecto, Russell Watson, and Magna Charta have already came along and destroyed Meat's hits, the most worse violater in my view is Prefecto and Magna Charta since they destroyed a Meat song which was number one on the charts for seven weeks. The taughts of it will just really make you go crazy, first you had Boyzone in 1999 covering (and destroying) No Matter What, second you had Russell Watson covering (and destroying) Is Nothing Sacred which was also from The Best Of, I'm not sure you came next but Magna Charta and Prefecto came along covering (and destroying) I Would Do Anything For Love. What I heard about this whole thing is that artists are coming along and covering all the old songs so people can play it at discos and partys and all other places that would play Dance and Techno. Let's just hope that no more Meat Loaf songs or songs wrote by Jim Steinman get blown into a thousand pieces.
That guy who put it on has the same (real) name has me.
