Is anyone else having to view forums / threads twice to clear new posts?

yeah it happens to me sometimes ... I thought it was a special function R had enabled for people like you and me who are hard of understanding at times :))

This is actually working as designed.
The read tracking marks threads as read, if you manually "mark the forum read" or access the forum again directly after a thread has been read. phpBB did this on opening a thread, vbulletin does it a little bit different.

Quickest way to make them vanish is, after reading the thread, on the little row of links at the top of the page, where it says

mlukfc.com Forum > mlukfc.com > Site Feedback,

instead of clicking on the first link to go to the forums, click on the last link to return to the current forum, then return to the main ones. After a couple of times, it becomes second nature!
