View Full Version : Album Promotion
I suggest that everyone keeps a close eye on Kasim Sulton's official website http://www.KasimSulton.com from the beginning of next year as he's going to be keeping an online journal about all the rehearsals and promotion for Meat Loaf's new album!!
There's currently a message about it now on his website and Kasim says "You all know how much I believe in this record, I think its Meats best since Bat 1."
It sounds like 2003 are going to be VERY exciting!

I also hope 2003 will be an exciting year.
But I see you're expecting an album that is better than Bat II. Do you think it is possible without Jim?
But the album will be great I think, like some other non-jim albums, like Bad Attitude and Welcome To The Neighbourhood.
Michel said "But I see you're expecting an album that is better than Bat II. Do you think it is possible without Jim? "
I was actually quoting what Kasim said, not what I thought as I haven't heard the album yet (although I wasn't over-impressed with the live tracks played on stage this Summer).
My personal opinion is that if Kasim Sulton is on the album, it WILL be a brilliant album!

But will there be any other promotions for this album. I read somewhere that in Germany ML will do a concert in a show orso.....??? Why Germany???
And will there be advertising on TV, internet, etc...... That would be very cool!!!
Hope this album will be great....but for now.....that title.....don't like it. The first song sounds great. :D
Of course there will be promotion (online, advertising, TV, print, radio etc) for the album.
What you will see on Kasim's official website http://www.KasimSulton.com will just be Kasim showing his fans (and Meat Loaf's too) what album promotion is really like from the inside.
Personally I have some idea what is involved in a tour but I don't know too much about album promotion or band rehearsals (I know that Meat doesn't attend them all so it'll be interesting to discover at which stage he DOES.....will they practice all the songs one by one or run through them all after each other?) or how about recording TV shows?
I still maintain that it's going to FASCINATING!

Well i personally think the promo over here in the U.K will be Meat on the popular chat shows like "V Graham Norton" and "Friday Night with Johnathan Ross", i personally hope he does both, but i would prefer if he did Graham Norton and talked and sang rather than just one of the two.

 It is fair to expect that Meat will be doing a fair few interviews when he comes to promote the album in the U.K.
I used to think that Graham Norton had a really good show.Unfortunatly, these days the show seems to be watered down.
There used to be a couple of guests on every show, some funny things on the net,and halarious phone calls. Now there is only one guest per show (probibilly because he's on five nights a week) and most of the show is made up of Graham messing about with the audience. The guests are now only given a short interview, and asked to judge a competition (which is really always judged by the audience). Also have any guests ever sang on Graham Norton's show?I can't remember any.
I think our best bet for a real Meat treat will be morning television, and hopefully The Frank Skinner Show.Frank's show is more guest orientated, and the show always finishes with Frank singing with one or more of his guests.Fingers crossed.
