View Full Version : Intro
Hi All,
Wasn't sure where to introduce myself. But since I figured it wasn't THAT interesting, I decided to put my post on the off topic board.
Anyway: I joined this forum today. I'm what they call a "first generation" fan: I'm a 41 year old female from the Netherlands.
Last concert I went to was march 1999 in Ahoy Rotterdam, and boy, that was great! Meat is imho one of the best live performers in the world. I hope he does a Europe tour in 2003 and believe me: I'll BE there. :)

You are very lucky!
You can go to Meat-concert in every year if you want!
But in Hungary. I think I will never be in his concert. Never!
You always say that around Europe...
He goes only to Netherland, England and sometimes Germany!
Meat was here just once when he was shooting a hungarian film. No more in past... and sometimes I think in the future.
OK! I know it is of use...
Well, I hope!

Well... not in every year, he did Ahoy-Rotterdam in 1994, 1996 and 1999.
But you are right: at least I got to go to a few concerts and you never have. That's to bad :(
I really hope you get to a concert in the future too. Maybe you can find a way to visit Germany, if you have i-friends there? Hope so...
Meat always comes in Germanym, with every tour. He was in 1978 also in Germany.
Meat also did many shows in 2001 in ahoy, but I hate it that he didn't do a show at his last tour.
I now what you all mean. But now the German folks are happy. They have the single release!
And what is it with the USA and UK, are they that important? Don't think so.....
Indeed, there should be more in other countries, and ofcourse also in the land of White Of High
I was wondering... does anyone know why the Single was released only in Germany and not in the UK or the Netherlands?
I thought it had something to do with the recordcompany or signing a contract......but still......it is very strange!!
But actually it is funny. This time not America that has the first release!!
And now something completely else:
Did you Dutch folks hear the Top 2000 on Radio 2? You can see the total list on the radio 2 webpage.
These are the places of Meat Loaf in that list:
5. Paradise By The Dashboard Light
260. I'd Do Anything for Love
523. Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad
699. You Took The Words....
I think we will have to vote more, so next year it will be a number one position.
Very strange indeed....
Damn, missed that top 2000! next year, I'll be sure to vote!
Next year we have to make a topic for the dutch people, when we can vote for the top 2000.
Then we all vote for many Meat songs, so that a Meat song will be number ONE!
Good idea, and then we'll ask all our RL friends and internetfriends to vote too.... hah, they won't know what hit them. :D

What songs you think?
Meat songs offcourse.
We have to vote for songs like Bat and I'd Do Anything For Love, because also some other people will vote for those songs. Paradise is always in that list.
We can now vote for MTV Top 100 Allertijden (All Ages).
