What does everyone think of the idea about a movie based on the original "Bat Out of Hell". It could be a musical, any ideas?
They could even make it a trilogy after the release of the Bat III album. I think this would be great if done right and seriously. Nothing cheesy, ala "Phantom of the Opera", just Meat at his best. What do you guys think?
P.S. This is my first post!

mmm... interesting idea... could be the new age Grease... but knowing the crazy stuff pple listen to days, it's going to be very tough to find a producer to finance it.

Yeah i agree it could be quite difficult to get someone to finance the film, but hey there is is always someone who will take it on, and what a mammoth task it would be, who would play Meat Loaf?

There was going to be a movie of Bat Out of Hell for years. It's called BAT OUT OF HELL 2100 by Jim Stienman - a futuristic science fiction version of Neverland (which is the general concept of the Bat albums). At varying stages over the years, Meat Loaf was meant to play Tink or Captain Hook. Who knows... with the success of Bat III... it may be filmed. There are apparently 4 classic songs in the movie, as well ten new ones
