View Full Version : Saturday evening
I'm very borred at this moment, and no one is online to msn with or to talk with, also no one is around to do something with........
So, that's why i made this topic. Just wondering what you all are doing on a regulair Friday, Saturday evening / night?
Any one some funny thing to share with the rest of us? Or.....is it also the TV, computer and music with cola and chips?? :?

 Hi Tim.I work every Friday night and most Saturday nights with the karaoke.I was working every Sunday until recently (when the contract ran out),but that means i've been able to join in at the chat room for the last few weeks  .
About the chat room, there's been a few times when a few members have been on line at the same time during the week.So i'll start a new topic on this forum, where you can ask anybody on line if they want to go to the chat room for a natter.
My saturday evenings.... very different. Some periods are busy. Next saturday big party, friends of our are married 25 years. Saturday after that: popconcert (Vrienden van Amstel Live in Ahoy). Saturday after that: internet-meeting at our place (8 people from an email group). After that, can very well be that there are at least 4 saturdays where we stay at home, watch t.v. or go online.
I'm not much of a chatter myself. Chatrooms: I'm too chaotic for that (or to old  )
I do have msn, you can add me if you want. I have about 50 people on my list, so if my status is "afwezig" , I'm either not there or talking to someone already.
I'm so borred right now, it's not funny any more. Nothing do to.......so very strange........
So i think, just borring the MLUKFC.com forum with this.
Another oldie.... i'm still borred... Worked hard this week, now the weekend... got lot's to do, burning disks hahaha... but still i'm borred... Anyone any ideas??? Yeah i know one... go the hospital... (see my other post: sad)
What about me - I've been busy in Visual Posts - lookee and see
Aaah, but you have a huge BBQ coming up!! So that's real fun!
Well, This saturday night im just sitting home, gonna watch a film with hubbs later. Thats what i usually do, since i had the boys. Friday nights, mates usually come round and we have a few bevvies - last night, a few more than a few  Sunday night is usually hubbs night out - i DO let him off the leash...occasionally :P

Friday night: Round my mates for a kebab and chips and either beers or coke. Watch the wrestling and discuss the week.
Saturdays: Beers, football, beers, pie n chips, listen to some music, talk to my girlfriend through msn until 5ish Sunday morning.
Sunday: Sleep, sleep, dinner, sleep.
Monday: Wait patiently for Friday night!
I'm pretty much a typical on-campus student - every night down the bar!
I'm a bit poor at the moment though so I couldn't go out long :(
Still, the forum is always there :D
Indeed, always the forum.
But i'm also short on money.. very short... to bad. I don't hold on to a day to go to the bar. If i like i go, with a friend offcourse... and if we have to work the next day... don't botter... drink so much we will forget about that hahaha.

My typical Saturday are not terribly exciting, I fear. My husband gots to work at 6AM, and I get up whenever my 6 year old son does (usually 7 or 8AM). When my husband gets home just after noon we go to the community swimming pool, then grocery shopping or other errands, then home for a meal on the barbeque. Goodness, my life now that I'm married and a mom is deadly boring! At least I have mlukfc to fall back on after my son goes to bed! (We really do some fairly interesting things every once in a while, honest. For you single, childless folks out there it isn't as bad as it sounds!)
Sherrie
Ona typical saturday the alarm goes off at 4:45am whcih give me 1 hour to get washed and shaved and have breakfast etc before I have to go next door to the shop i manage to open up.
I am at work then until we close at 7:30pm and am home about 8pm after locking up etc. By thsi time i am tired out so saturday night is the one noght of the week when I allow myself takeaway. Quite rare for my girlfriend to come round on a saturday as I am normally too tired after work to be much company. So i eat my chinese, check for new emails and messages on here and then have a bath and go to bed at about 9:30pm or 11pm if a bad influence like Heat is on messenger and keeps me chatting!!!!!!!
I love being a bad influence...it's what i do best!!!
Chris, there is a dis-connect part in your MSN thing. Or you can Block Heat hahaha.
He Heat, MSN???
Do you know, I was in WHSmiths today (checking out the competition) and two of the girls on the till were talking about going out on saturday. Imagine that, people who go out on a saturday night!!! I never have the money or energy for things like that!!
Tim - why the hell would chris wanna block me??? He loves it when i keep him up all night..... :D
Going to our club tonight in Hammersmith, drinking, dancing lots of laughs and great company with Pauline and Dave, said I'd give them a mention.
Gonna request something by Meat - and just watch the groups reaction ,some times I get lucky
Well we're off to Barnes Fair soon, lots of antiques, food, drink and items you never thought you needed till now :) after we have spent all our pennies (pounds) in hubbys case, we will make our way back home, get washed and changed then trip the light fantastic down to the club in Hammersmith. Haven't been to the club for a few weeks so really looking forward to emptying the scotch bottles  and having a dance, laugh and good time generally
have loads off fun Dottie.
I'm having a BBQ this evening, just with the family.
Going to be fun, i hope.
Asha
Edit: just when you think you're gonna have fun, you get ill..... :(
I'm not a happy person right now
mousie and i are just on our way out to do our Meat and Patti duets, paradise, id lie for you, anything for love and dead ringer. See you all later, we are at the leather bottle pub tonight.whooooooooooo hoooooooo

It is Dottie. Forget the Steak house (i think it's a Aberdeen Angus) in The Acapulco, Julio the owner does the best steaks you will ever get anywhere (apart from Mom's Pantry in Barrie canada!!)!!!
Anyhoo, Steve plays there most of the year (not July and August) and he is great. Do you go to that bit of Tenerife often? We ahve an apartment in Club Olympus@Garden City at the top of the street.

It's not Saturday night, but Saturday AM I get to take a crowd of dachshunds to the veterinatian. It should be an interesting car ride! I have two of my own, and we also take in homeless, abandoned and/or abused dachshunds until we can find good homes for them so I have two additional ones as well now. So, 4 little "weiner dogs" as so many people call them, are taking over my house. It should be quite an adventure getting them to them there and then getting them to behave for their shots! Oy, I'll need to be a dachshund wrangler!

Well I've had a wonderful Saturday Morning down at Feltham Mega Bowl for my first grandsons 8th Birthday Party. I even got to bowl too!!! Beat those little ones too  Now I'm going to shortly have a shower, get changed (wearing Meat Loaf T-shirt, and Sweat Shirt) hope I don't get lynched  later. S...............o excited :!:
Well the concert last night was absolutely fabulous, transported back in time, with Mick strutting his stuff, and crowd approx. 55 thousand, up on their seats, (no bully boy security here) singing their hearts out, dancing in the aisles, met one youngster, (who wasn't even a twinkle in her parents eye) at the birth of the Stones, who thought I was Julie Walters?Compliment I don't know!
I danced with a beefy security guy, no over the top crowd control here.
It was a gas, gas, gas, Jumpin Jack Flash,
Thanks Mick and the Boys, and not to forget Star Sailor, who performances also earned them a lot more fans.

Whatever happened to saturday night....
(sorry too tempting)
This is what happens on Saturday night.............
Decided to have a quiet night in, I am afraid it didn't last, rugby match this afternoon at Twickers, 10 minutes away, and some fans and townies, at approximately 11.30 pm decided to start a fight in Central Avenue where I live, many police cars and vans were at the scene swiftly, but I must admit it has unnerved me...........
I cannot wait to move now, roll on 4 weeks time..........
How was your Saturday night?

Sounds like a bit of excitement in your town Dottie! Are you moving nearby or to a whole new town?
My Saturday WAS quite mellow- just back from a birthday dinner of fried walleye (fish), baked potato and salad. My favorite meal, and I am STUFFED! Now it's just the regular evening struggle to get my 7 year old to go to bed at a decent time! :P

This Saturday night, as I'm Branch President, I'll be hosting the 40th Anniversary Dinner Dance for my branch of the Foresters. We've got a brilliant band called 'Dizzy' booked - the drummer is a lady, and oh boy does she do one hell of a mean drum solo, and an excellent take off of Tina Turner.
I've got a rather stunning scarlet halter-neck gown to wear - shame the body that's going in it is nothing special! 'Him Indoors' will be wearing a dinner suit, with red bow tie & cummerbund.
Really looking forward to what promises to be a very enjoyable evening (with the exception of having to make an after dinner speech). Anyone got any good (polite) jokes I could use???!!

Well what did you do Saturday night?
We went to our club in Hammersmith, and you never guess who was appearing - THE FORTUNES - Now anybody who grew up during 1963 till early 1970's will remember this group well - mind you you'd have to be a certain age:lol:
Known for such songs as Here it comes again, Freedom come, Freedom go etc.,
they were fantastic and we were transported back very many years, and yes we remembered the words to every song they sang:-P
The guys autographed my DVD and bingo tickets, and cracked a funny that today I would have them up on ebay- no chance when you have waited nearly 35 years to see them again live!!!!!!
mmm saturday evening went to the movies with a friend, was fun.
Well what did you do?
We went to the County Arms, bonfire, fireworks, bbq, and karaoke, slayed em in the aisles, with 2 out of 3 aint bad, that was me, roy, and rob the karaoke king of whitton... standing ovation I kid you not, felt very proud......
Then sang twenty four hours from tulsa, with rob, getting quite good at this lark:cool:

....terrible way to spend a saturday evening i know
Was at my friend Catherine's parents 25th wedding anniversary party. Was fun cos all the group from uni went down to gravesend where she comes from and helped out with the food and did v dodgy but funny dance moves to cheesy songs at the "disco". Got a dance out of pretty much everyone from uni which was nice. Spent the rest of the night at Catherine's playing "who's in the bag?" and sleeping on her floor. Also rediscovered "stoppit and tidyup" from when i was tiny...ahhh nostalgia...;) had a great time, though was a bit bizarre to be away from uni with all the people i know from there...talk about combination of worlds...;)
