I have been a member of these boards for a while now and something is really bothering me. After viewing the comments posted by Steinloaf I think it is time it be said.
This is a Meat Loaf fan club. This is not a place where people come and tell Meat were he needs to improve, or what he could have done better. None of us want a one-sided, propagandised website, but we dont want this constant criticism. Have opinions, but don't have this constant need to tell how you would have done it better.
This is partly aimed at the "musical director" steinloaf. You really don't think that it suits Meat's voice?? You think you could have done better?? Well I don't think you had anything to do with Bat 1 or II and with all due respect, I think they have managed pretty well without you.
And I'm really pissed with having this debate whether Meat is past it? Meat is older now. And like most people in most professions, the older you get, the tougher work is. Meat has busted his ass for more than 30 years. Granted most is for his own personal desire to achieve at what he does, but it also has to do with him constantly trying to please his fans. So the last thing I'm sure he wants to see when he logs on to mlukfc is fans debating whether or not he is past it. You idiots pick up a copy of Bat Out Of Hell Live with the MSO if you want to see the true answer to that.
You ask for more concerts, more albums, more Meat and when he delivers you tell him he could have done better. Wise up.
Please listen to what I had to say.
Meat has enough critics who refuse to believe the truth, that Meat Loaf is one of the greatest artists to ever grace this earth, and with the way music is today, we need him more than ever, so please, all Meat fans, give this man the respect he deserves.
Meat, you are the legend, and I can't wait to hear Bat III. You and Steinman have managed on your own so far, I think you will cope without the input of would be music directors and critics.
Thank you!!

Well done for saying what a lot of us have been thinking when we read negative posts. We should be grateful that Meat is actually doing live shows in the UK again as we thought we had seen the last of him over here after the last tour. We were at Wembley the night he collapsed and it was terrible, we really thought it was all over and could not believe it when we went back a month later to see him rock the roof off the place. He is an inspiration and many of todays younger 'stars' should look to him as an example, how many of them will still have the following that Meat does 30 years down the road and how many of them can actually produce the quality AND quantity of really good songs that Meat has done continuously over three decades (or is it four ! - that's my age showing me up !).

This will be my 7th time of seeing the great man live and every time is different, better and more energising than the last (or maybe that is just my mind playing tricks - I am over 40 now !).

We are so looking forward to this show, maybe it will be shorter than we are used to but the music, the man and magic are still up there for us. I know he will put on a SHOW and relate to the audience as he always does. The days of Meat putting on a 3 hour extravaganza are gone and we are just lucky that he is still with us, still rocking and still bringing it back to us.

Keep it coming big man !

This is a fan club, your absolutely true. But reviews are still opinions. And 90 of the 100 reviews are positieve, 9 are positive with some point of critics, and 1 is negative. So I really don't think this is need to be said. If somebody didn't like the show, he has the right to tell it here, but the review of SteinLoaf wasn't so negative at all. I'm gonna lock this topic, because otherwise this will be an discussion and maybe probably a flame war.

Just respect everybody's opinion, ok?
