I've just been listening to the Live At Wembley 1987 album and wondered what other people make of this strange live album.
I say strange cos its exactly that for a few reasons.
firstly, where is it actially recorded?? it says Live at wembley Stadium march 1987 but Im not sure if Meat has ever played Wembley stadium espeically on the Blind before I stop tour? it was more big theatres such as Newcastle/sheffield city hall and edinburgh playhouse, so surley it must be Wembley ARENA? or even Hammersmith Odeon?
Secondly, the album artwork. why are the songs listed on the back cover shortened down to 'TOOK THE WORDS' and I think on the vinyl version that was released its '2 OUT OF 3'.
Lastly, the actual content of the album. The version of 'Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad' is the best Live version I've ever heard, Meats voice on this track is amazing, very powerful and the guitar solo is superb, bob kulick rocks!
Theres also some great Blind Before I Stop tracks on there, although Execution Day would have been a great addition as it was played first on most nights of this tour.
I also have a bootleg of a show from this tour and All Revved Up With No Place To Go was performed very well with Meat telling a little 'story' in the intro, this would have been great had it been on the official live album.
To me the album seems very 'Layered' and the crowd noise sounds like its on a tape, did't Meats brother in law produce or mix the album?
