Was watching an old Jack Dee on Men and Motors channel tonight, for no reason that i can justify! Anyway, Lily Savage came on, and from his/her jokes i figured it was a christmas show.
Anyway, next it comes back to Jack, who is stood by the side of the stage. He says "well I believe the stage is finished being transformed, and I can say it's not every day you get to introduce a legend..."
At this point I suddenly thought "Meat Loaf" and I haven't a clue why. Anyway Jack carried on, "so, ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together for....Meat Loaf!!"
I couldn't believe it - why i second guessed it I don't know. He was singing Not a Dry Eye In the House, so it was obviously part of the promo tour for Neighbourhood. Guess the year - 96????
He was miming but still a good performance. Patti looked static - still learning? - but John was awesome on the drums - it had a much heavier sound than the album version.
Anyway just thought I'd share that.
