Hurricane Katrina - Any news from Debbi V?

Has anyone had any contact from Debbi V since the hurricane struck? She lives at Mandeville, just across the lake from New Orleans. She most likely evacuated, but you can't help worrying when you hear nothing. I pray that she and her family are safe. Thinking of you Debbi, wherever you are.

I hope Sharon doesn't mind me passing this along ... she got a message from
Debbi's sister. Debbi and her family are doing fine, and will hopefully be able to return home soon.

Yes I have been in contact with DebbiV herself as well as her sister.
Debs - Drummerboy - Jake & Niko are all safe & well in Florida. They originally took flight from the area a day or so before it hit & went north but have now moved south.

They are staying with a friend at the moment in their hotel but hope to be home sometime next week. According to her neighbours the house is fine - NO damage - but at present there is no water or power.

I will keep you posted of any news.

We're out of here again for Hurricane Katrina. No definite destination,
but we'll find something North of here I'm sure. The camping gear is
packed in the trunk just in case. I'll be home for a while, but leaving
sometime this afternoon.

Reach us via cell phone if you need to.



Then:

We're in Florida with Chuck now, hun. House is OK, but no power or
water right now. Hope to get home next week.

Will try to keep you posted as much as possible.

Hi all -

We're safe and sound in Pensacola now with Chuck and some of his
family. We'll be here at least until Monday. If power comes back in my area,
we're hoping to get there on Tuesday. Water is back on there, but the
pressure is still low at this point.

We're still having cell phone issues so text messaging is the most
reliable way to get to us.



Will keep you posted on any changes in the situation.
