Yes I don't think he was given a very good interview.
However thanks for the pic's! I'm going on the 13th of this month and I can't wait!:D
I'm going tomorrow 9th (Southampton).
After the frantic scrabble to get the tickets from Royal Mail (redirections not happening!), my mate says she can't go!
Attempting to find new mate! but they are all likely to be working til 5 or 6, so wondering if anyone has any ideas of timings for the show (or prvious shows).
Gates open at 4pm, when do supports start. When do Bon Jovi come on, or even when it is likely to end.
TIA

Bon Jovi come on about 8pm and play until about 11pm, if you have golden circle tickets get there early though, the queues were a farce at Manchester. its an amazing show though.
So, how were they then?
Who's suffering from sun burnt foreheads? How chaotic were the car parks? Which bit of the stage did you have to brush Chris? So many questions, so little time...

FABULOUS!!!
Didn't have to queue very long for anything really, not to get in, to get food, to get out, or to get the car out of the car park - very impressed...
Nickelback were great, Bon Jovi are always great, but didn't rate the unsigned band (Spin), mind you, they were from Leeds...
Call that a review? :lmao:
Need more words, pics, funny stories ...
Oi! Nothing wrong with Leeds! :p

I didn't get to brush any of the stage. Had my passes taken off me. Apparently the journo needed to take a photographer rather than a random newsie!

Don't know if anyone at the concert noticed that Hugh (bass) and David (keyboard) wore wristbands? My friend sent them to the band as she has Motor Neurone Disease and they very kindly wore them, and invited her backstage to meet them all.
She's still not come back down to earth enough to tell me all about meeting them, but I'm so very pleased for her that the band were so good to her.
Yep Sarah, both of them did have wristbands on. Not sure if they were red or blue though cause in some of our pix they look blue others red :? Hugh has his on early on but it seems to of vanished by the encore :? Very cool though. Was your friend sat in the wheelchair area? We were and may of seen her.
Found a couple where you can see them, some of these are Christines & Chrisni's pix but i'm sure they wont mind me posting them.

I haven't had the opportunity to find out if she was in the wheelchair area yet Deb. The Willow Foundation arranged the day for her. Back when it was first arranged she was fairly mobile, but with Motor Neurone Disease, sometimes paralysis can progress very rapidly. She hasn't been online much since the concert as I expect the long day really took it out of her (another symptom of the disease unfortunately).

My friend 'Morticia' has finished her write up of when she met Bon Jovi. I'm sure she won't mind me sharing it with you!
"ok write up done rather long
MY DAY IN HEAVEN
It all started about two and a half years ago when I put in my application to The Willow Foundation for a special day out to get to meet the one the only rock legends that are Bon Jovi. Unfortunately for me they were not touring at the time and I had to be patient until I found out they were touring this year. I contacted The Willow Foundation and they took it from there.
They organised 4 tickets to what at the time was going to be the new Wembley Stadium but ended up at Milton Keynes Bowl. They were also trying to organise a meet and greet between us and Jon, I was beginning to think that it wouldn’t happen as they had no joy a week before the concert but they carried on trying.
On Thursday the 8th the day before I went to see them at Southampton I received a phone call from Susie saying that provided nothing untoward happened we were going to meet Jon at Milton Keynes on Sunday. Shocked I nearly had heart failure I was soooooo excited and on Friday as I was watching them onstage I kept thinking my goodness on Sunday I’m going to meet him it felt really strange but exciting.
Sunday 11th June 2006 time 11.45am
Myself, my sister Anneka, my cousin Mandy and a very dear friend Julie that I met at my first Bon Jovi concert in Milton Keynes 10 years ago are all gathered in my kitchen waiting for our driver for the day Richard. He arrived just after 12.00 we gathered all our things together and set off about 12.15.
We arrived at The Bowl at around 3.15pm and as we headed towards the VIP car park everyone was trying to see who was behind the blacked out windows we felt like celebrities. After parking we headed off to exchange our VIP tickets for laminates that hang round your neck and headed for the VIP area. Inside they had a barbeque run by chefs from Jamie Oliver’s 15 restaurant the food was really nice but expensive. We were having a nice relaxing time when we had to evacuate as the barbeque was on fire and there were gas bottles underneath it. So ended our time in the VIP area.
We had to phone a member of Bon Jovi’s management team at 5.30; my cousin phoned and just as fast as I had sat down in the disabled section I was up again heading for the side of the stage. We arrived at the stage and spoke to security who read the letter and told us where disabled was, we said again no we are going to meet Jon. He read the letter again and asked to see our tickets, we showed him and he said “they are general admission I can’t let you in the golden circle” agghhh I nearly screamed. Mandy my cousin phoned again and was told to give the phone to security he took the phone and his reaction was “yes sir, sorry sir, ok sir I’ll escort them backstage.” Hooray he understood finally.
Backstage we met up with the management member lovely man shook all our hands asked our names and said “are you ready?” “I think so” I said. Off went passed more security I felt really important. We rounded a corner and was told to have a seat well before I could sit I just stood there mouth open there about 10ft away was Richie I sat down before I fell down.
Now for the best bit my dream come true. We were asked to go into the hospitality tent. Shock number two sitting at a table was Hugh, Tico and Richie this was when I realised that we were going to meet the whole band not just Jon. I took a seat with a chair either side of me and Richie walked over took my hand and said “ Hi Esther pleased to meet you” kissed me on the cheek and sat next to me. I had a conversation with Richie and he then spoke to the others with me. All of a sudden I was aware of somebody stood next to me, I turned round and there stood in front of me was Jon well that was it talk about weak at the knees good job I was sitting-down my face must have been a picture I just went “ooohh hello”. Jon took my hand and said “Hi Esther it’s a pleasure to meet you” he then leant forward and kissed me on the cheek well that was it I melted felt like I was going to cry so I composed myself as Jon sat down next to me. He asked me how I was and can you believe I said to the Rock God himself “I’m knackered I had to walk a long way to meet you but I’m ok” well I did no going back I’ve said it now. I told him how excited I was when I found out I was going to meet them and thanked him for agreeing to meet me and he said it was a pleasure. I showed him my smirk tattoo and he asked if it was real when I said yes he touched it and said it was cool well I nearly fell off my chair. Then David and Tico both came over said hi called me by my name and gave me a kiss on the cheek Hugh did the same except I got a kiss on the lips. They all then signed things we had taken with us including my jacket with a cross stitch of Jon on the back that I started but was unable to complete because of the bloomin MND but a friend finished it for me and Jon and Richie thought it was fantastic (Jon’s words). Jon then said to me “We’ve got a few things for you” out of a bag came a personalised fully signed programme and two t-shirts that was so nice to meet them was enough I wasn’t expecting anything else. We took photo’s and then Jon said “Well I’ve gotta go I’ve got a job to do, a show to put on you have a fantastic time tonight”
Well that was it my dream come true the concert was great although I watched in a complete state of shock. My last surprise was when I Saw David and Hugh wearing the mnd wristbands onstage that I had put in the letters I had written to the band. We had a tiring trip home and got in at 2am.
This day was amazing and nothing will ever compare or come close. BIG THANKS to The Willow Foundation without whom this never would have happened, to the member of Bon Jovi management for his kindness and help in making it happen. Richard our driver for the day, the three very special people who came with me and looked after me my cousin Mandy, sister Anneka and friend Julie who I met 10 years ago at my 1st Jovi gig in Milton Keynes. And of course Jon, Richie, Tico, David and Hugh for meeting us special thanks to David and Hugh for wearing the mnd wristbands onstage xx
Esther"
