I feel that I am amongst friends who may be able to advise me with a personal issue.
My girlfriend Sarah and I have been together for a short time now.
We have always been very close.
I love her dearly and she is my best friend.

The thing is I have noticed her behaviour change recently.
She has started going out a lot at the last minute.
Also I notice she seems to be going to extra lengths over her appearance and buying a lot of new clothes.
Phonecalls have started coming in, and when I answer, the line goes dead.
Later the phone will ring again, she will answer and take the phone into the other room.
I once over heard her say, I can't talk now, tomorrow OK.
The other night she went out and I finally decided to confront her.
I asked where she was going and she said to a girl friends house and staying overnight.
Thing is, that girl friend phoned that evening to speak to Sarah so I know it was a lie.

The following night she went out again and I decided to follow in my car.
I pulled up some way behind her and hid behind my car while I watched her meet a Man, who she embraced passionately.

It was at about this time I noticed a large stone-chip in my nearside wing of the Smart.

Should I touch-it up, or should I get the whole thing replaced, being plastic i might pick up a new one and swap it?:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

You would not believe how many people in the Smart Forums have believed this was genuine!

Brilliant story!

It all depends on how bad the chip is. If you get it repaired, make sure you get it done professionally as a badly repaired chip can look worse than the original damage. At a guess, it should cost no more than £50-£100 to repair properly. I would have thought a replacement wing would be more?

Or you could leave it a while as it's not going to rust, wait and see if you pick up any more scratches and then get it done. It would work out cheaper to repair lots of minor damages than just one problem.

Personally, I used to work with Smarts and if it has a chip it would be better if you replaced the whole plastic wing, would be alot cheaper, especially if you have one of the fancy effect panels on your car! :D

By the way, very good lead up

I don't have any fancy panels - they aren't worth the money. The best pones to ahev are Hello Yellow where a set in good condition can fetch around £4500 on the second hand market.

Only surfaces scratches can be polished out ona smart although mine are solid colour throughout the depth of the plastic so i might try a spot of polishing out tomorrow!

I can say... typical women. Not being cruel btw.. but you know that woman are cheating more then man, right? So take a very close look, cause when it's happening there's no way back. But maybe you must not worry and she is planning something nice for you.

And on the other hand... i'm horrible with woman so... don't listen to me.
