Meat just had a triumphant return to touring, he is in the studio working on BOOH 3 with Jim Steinman, and several of the other band members are busy with very interesting projects of their own...in the grand scheme of things, does "view count" on a forum really matter?
As Deb said, maybe people do find AndyK an interesting bloke. Heck, I was fortunate enough to have spent some time with him in Vegas...he has some extremely remarkable stories about Meat Loaf fandom to share. I know I would like to hear more.

It's pretty simple: "Update threads_table Set Views = Views + 1 Where ThreadId = n" gets executed on the database every time a thread (or part of) gets pulled from the database. That's all, it just says that a particular thread was accessed n-times. It does however not say that it was accessed by n different people. ;)

Strange quote.
I guess thats goes for other blogs as well though. Doesn't mean their hits are all unique. Come to think of it other sites hits as well. But why hits on blogs or sites are so important is beyond me.

That's shocking  view count went up by 600:? I reckon the voting must be rigged. Andy can be our next entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, we're bound to win.
On a semi-serious note though, how sad must it be to actually notice these things?

On a semi-serious note though, how sad must it be to actually notice these things? It's quite easy to notice and I believe some people actually do.
And, most of the time you can clearly identify who caused the raise of the viewcount. Believe me, you would be surprised.

I just find it bizarre the irrelevance of noticing an insignificant thing like a view count and commenting on it, when there's dozens upon dozens of more relevant things to discuss.
