View Full Version : Posts and users
Is it possible to be able to not see certain users posts etc?
If it is how do I do it? and will none of their thrads / posts show If I can?
Deb
It is possible.
Click on the name of the user you wish to ignore and their profile page will appear, across the middle of the page there are a couple of links to say Add to Buddy List or Add to ignore List.
Click on the ignore link and hey presto, the user is ignored.
Is that totally ignored? As in I don't have to read ANYTHING they write? Even if it's in a thread I read?
Thanx btw Toopher ;)
I did all that and them links aren't there :?
Yes - wherever the user posts, at that point in the thread, instead of a post you will just see a little box saying "message posted by XXXX - this person is on your ignore list"
BTW, You're welcome
It would work if I had the links to do it

You can't ignore posts by MODS

Why not?
 Because everything we say is so facinating
But seriously, I supose it's because if a mod has to make a ruling on any particular subject, and that mod is on your ignore list, you wont be able to see it

Oh Joy
 Is my blog "really" that bad Deb?
What you are looking for are the "Buddy" and "Ignore" lists.
They are located in your User Control Panel here (http://www.mlukfc.com/forums/profile.php?do=editlist).
You can add/edit entries there or, as Chris said, just click a link in a user profile.
Just give it a try with Fred (http://www.mlukfc.com/forums/member.php?u=1118), ignore him and read a thread in Fred's world.
And afaik, you cannot ignore Mods or Admins.
Thanx R, but If I can't ignore a mod there's no point me doing it.
Can anyone tell me what these are and which is best?
Download all Private Messages as :
XML | CSV | Text
Depends on your need, I would download all three and decide later.
CSV however is best, ifyou want to deal with your PMs in Excel.
To whom it may concern:
For the time being, I have allowed to ignore Admins and Mods.
This is a test drive and if it causes trouble in any way, I will disable this option again.
