Everytime I come to this forum, I recognise new members joining the compound. They're coming like a swarm of bees. Help! They're behind me! Okay, okay! They are like refugees storming over the borders to this country. Since Meat promotes his new album, they're creeping out of the darkest corners of the world. But I'm very glad to see ya all! I'm very glad to see how many fans of Meat exist! And I'm very glad to recognise their age! So many young people, even a few under the age of 20! WOW!!

But one day I just woke up and saw this fantastic man, in every way. This is as real as it gets!! I think he is a great performer and a brilliant actor. I have seen him at the proms in Antwerp, later in Hyde Park and now there are no more doubts. This is it!!! i am looking forward to meeting some of you at the concerts!!! I am Niels and I live in Holland. I am 22 years old (on friday) :)
I am a fan since BAT2 came out. I went to see him in Rotterdam in 1996 for the first time, then 2 times in 1999 (I think? or was it 2000) when he did his best of... tour. Last time I saw him was at Night of the proms in 2001. Going to see Bruce Springsteen in may \o/

Hi folks!!

I'm also a new member. I'm 23 and am relatively new to the music of Meatloaf. I heard the Best Of just before Christmas, and couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was so OTT and epic, that I had to find more music from this amazing talent. I'm driving my friends, family, girlfriend and colleagues crazy with the constant Meatloaf. Bat 2 is the best album ever, but Dead Ringer comes a close second.

I can't wait for the new album, and love the new single.

I hope eveyone is OK, and look forward to along membership here.

see ya'

Hello there, young, old, it depends on how you look at it.
About the car, I am sorry but I am more a jaguar-type!
Is there anyone driving one here?
But I don't see why we can't have a beautiful friendship.

Have a great day everyone..

I'm only 16 years old and have been a Meat Loaf fan since the tender age of 8!!

Can anyone beat me, or am I the baby of the group?

That is unless, someone can take the title away from me?!

Same here... when I grew up, nu such thing as a PC or i-net.
About ages: that's what I like so much about Meat concerts: all ages can be found there. First generation fans like myself, second generation... I see fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, enjoying the same music. I think that's GREAT.
Last concert, 1999, ages I saw: youngest 13-something, oldest 60-something 8)

I download only to listen to meat on the computer whilst i'm working.
wouldn't dream of not actually obtaining the single, I collect copies in all formats picture discs, etc and hope that everyone out actually buys the single somehow - somewhere. Did you say that DIST isn't going to be ?released in the U.K.?

Well - if you buy the single, i think the easiest way for you to listen to it would be to simply play the cd using your comp's cdrom device.

Did you say that DIST isn't going to be ?released in the U.K.?
Exactly.

One more thing, please try to post on topic of a particular thread.
This thread deals with new members and your reply about downloads certainly isn't on topic and thus 'hijacking' this thread.

Hi Mariella!

I'm Vicki, 41 years old, and I've only been a fan for about 3 years too :-) I didn't know who Meat was until Storytellers ... I saw the CD sitting on the shelf in the local record store (here in the US) and just decided to buy it :)) Once I listened to it, and saw him and Patti sing Paradise on the show I was hooked !! I agree with you - he's definitely a great performer and brilliant actor. I loved how he portrayed Sheriff Dogget in Crazy in Alabama !

I was lucky enough to see him 7 times while he was on tour this past summer (4 times in September and 3 in December), and meet him briefly after one of the shows in Florida. I can't wait until he tours the US so I can see him again :))
