I did not know you
Our lives never touched
'Til the day they gathered
To bid you farewell
And they painted your picture
And as I looked around
I felt I saw you
In the words and the sound

Your talent came flowing
Through the stories they tell
And through the faces
Of those who loved you so well
Your life gave them a treasure
A piece of themselves
Something they carry
And still serves them well

Just one life
Just one life
Just one life
That is born and is and is gone
Just one life
And I'm so glad to know you
As I know you now

Perhaps inside you
You were messed up like me
But to them you were whole and strong
And friend in their need
And what you left behind you
And what swept over me
Says that your life's work
Rolls on and on
A piece of eternity

Just one life
Just one life
Just one life
That is born and is and is gone
Just one life
Did you ever have the chance to find out
What life is all about

I did not know you
Our lives never touched
'Til the day we gathered
To say our farewells

What else can I say! For a man who has been gone for 14 years...he's still touching lives all around the world every minute!! Now that really is a miracle!

You can't turn back the clock you can't turn back the tide
Ain't that a shame
I'd like to go back one time on a roller coaster ride
When life was just a game
No use in sitting and thinkin' on what you did
When you can lay back and enjoy it through your kids
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don't know
Better sit back and go with the flow

But touch my tears with your lips
Touch my world with your fingertips
And we can have forever
And we can love forever
Forever is our today
Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever?
Forever is our today

rest well freddie

And now the party must be over
I guess we’ll never understand
The sense of your leaving
Was it the way it was planned?

And so we grace another table
And raise our glasses one more time
There’s a face at the window
And I ain’t never, never sayin’ goodbye...

One by one
Only the good die young
They’re only flyin’ too close to the sun
Cryin’ for nothing
Cryin’ for no-one
No-one but you:(

I'm surprised that the Freddie Mercury Aids benefit concert that was held 5 months after his death, hasn't become a more frequent event. Especially since the first one raised about £20m and he is without doubt one of the most famous celebrities to have died from the disease.
