Steve Rinkoff has recently posted a message HERE (http://www.overthetopinfo.com/pages/12/index.htm) about a new show he and Steinman are putting together called The Dream Engine. In the post he mentions about Jim NOT being involved with Bat 3 at all (apart from writing the songs obviously) I quote Jim and I are not, as many have asked, part of anything resembling Bat3
The official Dream Engine website is www.thedreamengine.com where there's a brief summary of what the show is about (basically exactly the same as Over The Top) The great news is that new shows are planned for early 2006 and rumour has it that some of these show are heading to Europe. And it seems there might be a CD or two.
Here's a couple of cents of my thoughts.
Despite people's personal opinions and despite what gets written elsewhere, it should be made clear that Meat Loaf and Bat 3 is completely seperate to Steinman's/Rinkoffs - OTT/Dream Engine (or whatever you want to call it) and therefor each project should be judged on their own merits and not compared to one another or be seen as a competition.
2006/7 is looking GREAT

Great news! Hope the Dream Engine comes to the UK.

You're spot on their Pud!
No competition, lot's of new music and recordingsn and plenty of winners ... Us! Can't wait!! :-D
THink it is great that Steinman is working on a new musical. Wish i could see one once. Have some on cd, but that's all.
But if Steinman is not working on Bat 3... :? getting mixed feelings about Bat 3 now.

But Steinman IS writing the songs. I don't think the songs will change that much from what Steinman has written, I don't think anyone would dare. Dead Ringer was done without Steinmans help, and that turned out well despite the general public not picking it up.

It's not a new musical, but more of a concert/cabaret where several of his songs are sung

Me too Tim, very mixed feelings

Maybe that's an indicator for Bat3 then. Despite our own personal opinions, if the general public don't pick up on it, then Bat 3 will sink quicker than the Titanic.

I'd tend to disagree. If the record company have ANY brains they'll market and publicise the sh*t out of the album. It will be everywhere - not like CHSIB.

Without doubt the marketting and publicity is going to be crucial, probably more so than ever. CHSIB, was a lesson in how not to market an album and to this day it beggars belief as to why the record company didn't do more. I hope when being interviewed Meat Loaf can stay on track, as he does tend to go off on a tangent, which doesn't help when you're trying to promote an album.

Pud you forgot to mention. How much you hate Meat Loaf and Bat 3.
Your trying to make yourself look like a loyal Meat Loaf fan here.
But I have heard some nasty word's about Meat Loaf coming from your mouth!!!!
You should be ashamed of yourself

A. I've never mentioned I hate Meat Loaf
B. I have my doubts about Bat3 and haven't shy'ed away from airing them but I don't think I've mentioned hating something I haven't yet heard.
C. I think nearly everyone on this board would say that the last thing I've done is 'make myself look like a loyal Meat Loaf fan' I'll always claim to be a fan and never a blind fanatic.
D. What nasty words have you heard coming from my mouth about Meat Loaf? do share.
E. If you're the same Stephen lunatic that's run rampant on Rockman, all I can say to the mods here is 'good luck with this one'

First of all, Steve:
a) Where did you get that cool icon? I WANT IT!!! :D :D :D
b) Pudding does NOT (and I mean does NOT) slag off Meat Loaf. Pudding is a critical (and rational) fan of Meat and Jim. Just because he doesn't go around kissing their asses, just because he tells it like it is, you think he should be "ashamed"?
I find that amusing
Err Steve mate, I've just noticed that you've only had six posts- there's nothing wrong with that of course, you've gotta start somwhere but after six posts I really wouldn't start running a critic on senior loafers and trying to cause trouble, wait til maybe you've got a couple of little bats by r name before u even think about that, and even then I would disagree because its not r place or anyone elses to make assumptions on other ppl's beliefs that aren't true. If you're just here to flame pud then I suggest you do r self a favour and go somewhere else while the rest of us continue to share our valid, genuine opinions on a good singer who makes good music and continue to support this forum.
Steve, do yourself a favour and read the forum rules (http://www.mlukfc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3252).
It clearly says "No personal attacks". If you are unhappy with someone somewhere else, then deal with it there, not here. We don't need cross-forum-flamewars.
Remember you should argue against the opinion, but not attack the person - play nicely :-DThis is one of my favourite quotes around here. You might want to give this a thought.

Meat said but is "To ill" to record Bat III, then he's going to to work on something completely differnet. Something smell fishy to you too?
