Maybe Meat Loaf will do this when the album comes out - sounds like great publicity...

That would be great! Meat, if you are reading this thread, please consider the option!

Well, Diane Warren had an evening of her songs on American Idol - ML sang her songs, I'd Lie For You is one of them...
Queen didn't even have to show up on the show actually - just had a little time with contestants on their turf...

I donīt know if that is such a good idea.
I think that people should buy the album, because they like the msuic and noth īcause it was shown on a big TV show.
I know that this just brings publicity and shows the music to people who whouldnt hear it else, but to me something like that looks more like, i whouldnīt say cheating of the real fans, but it whould be a little strange.

I hear what you're saying and I was thinking to myself...that just cheapens the artist...and yet...
a. Let ML make some money - why not?
b. Let those that were born after BOOH came out...or were little kids when BOOH2 came out get some exposure to the great voice in music.
c. You can never be too thin...too rich...or have too many fans
I started this thread because these are amazing statistics and facts of which I wouldn't have ever dreamt about...and I thought...well, if so many famous people can do it...why then not ML???
Well there's no such thing as bad publicity or PR when it comes to getting your name known to a new audience is there?

I WASN`T born when BOOH was released and I WAS a little kid when Bat2 came out, and i found his music as the best for me. So if people like his music they will buy the album independent from the age.
The fear that iīve got is that Meat will be seen as such an artist whose big times are long ago and have to go to such shows to get any publicity.
Thatīs the way Pop Idol works here in Germany (we call it Germany searches for the superstar) Like it is here with "Dieter Bohlen" he was in the 80s in the group of Modern Talking and after that nobody heard of him and now there are every week headlines of him in the boulevard-press like "he broke his penis" or such things. And I donīt wanna see such things happen to Meat. (With the headlines).

That is absolutely what I am trying to say...

You know...I absolutely see your point of view...and on our part this is just a speculation - we are just chatting about it. I am sure ML will make his own choices when the time comes and they will be all the right choices. And if they are not quite right for some - they will always be perfect for me.
