I see that the most ever users online was 500 and that that was now over a year ago. I was wondering (because I only joined in November) was that organised and why?
Also I've been thinking that to show support for BATIII we could arrange
a mass login to MLUKFC on the release date of the album and beat our
record. Fireball himself could join us if he had a spare minute!
Thoughts!?!

I think that was cuz of the first UK show of last year's tour or something like that. Everyone obviously wanted to get info fast. I would expect similar figures during the Bat III tour.

A mass login...
Great idea!
Just a organisatorial question:
How many people can join the forum before the server crashes?

How many people can join the forum before the server crashes?
 Do I detect sabotage? :yikes:
:lmao:
That was most likely a consolidated attack of numerous search engines. And it doesn't mean that there were 500 concurrent members online in the same second - it's more like 500 sessions within 15 minutes.
500 concurrent users requesting threads, searching and posting messages would bring this server down to it's knees.

Thanks for that clarification, R. I hope it's averted a massive stress attack for you.

 OK, a bad idea then. Still we could organise something on a
smaller scale that's easier on the server.:-)

Somehow I do not think 'Fire Ball' would join in on that because he would be swamped!
But then he surprises me sometimes so who knows!
Great idea!
