Does anyone own the "Getting Away With Murder" 10" Special Edition vinyl please?

It is B-sided with RPM and is in the fold out red cardboard cover with the composite mugshot image of meat on it.

No, and yes. The B-side of "Getting Away With Murder" is "Rock and Roll Hero". RPM is the B-side of "Rock and Roll Mercanaries".
I'd link to the description of the single (http://home.planet.nl/~williamg/www/MLJS/?page=meatloaf/singles/gettingawaywithmurder.html) on my website, but it seems to be down atm. Damn the crappy free webhosting from my ISP straight to Andorra.

You are right, I stand corrected.

Ok, this is going to sound like a silly question but does anyone's copy have writing in the lead-out at the end of the track.

On one side mine has the album code and the other side has the album code, a set of initials and what appears to be a name. They are all marked into the lead out adn I cannot decide whether they were done on the master prior to pressing or on my specific copy by a previous owner.

Dunno ... 'coz I've not got my copy with me (unusually I've left home today without my full Meat Loaf record collection :lmao: )

You're letting your standards slip again Andy!

I've checked my copy Chris and the Getting Away With Murder side says "Bilbo Tape One" which I assume is what they called the master tape and someone, probably the mastering engineer, (a Lord Of The Rings fan maybe?), has scratched that on the master before pressing.

Cheers Diane.

Andy, that is appalling. What would you do if someone asked a sudden question about the B-Side to the Blood Red vinyl disc or something? I trust you will restore your standards to the high level we normally expect of you :p

My copy is exactly the same. Hardly surprising since it was a limited edition release and unlikely to have more than one master disc.

Whoever wrote it must have been involved with the picture disc for "Take a Number" as that has the same thing on it.
